Simple, but Must-Have Travel Gadget.
As a frequent business traveler (100+ flights/year, 2M+ miles), this is one of my must-have gadgets in my laptop bag. It's not fancy (no USB or surge protection), but it does its job really well.We all are carrying so many things that need power - laptops, phones, tablets, noise-cancelling headphones, bluetooth speakers, etc. that when we need to charge up, we usually need to charge multiple things simultaneously. This simple but effective multi-plug solves that problem. Here are just a few of the situations, I've found it key:- At the airport, you don't want to be that guy that monopolizes multiple outlets.- Many hotel rooms (especially when it hasn't been renovated lately) are always short on plugs.- Even for the hotel rooms that have more plugs, their outlets have been so over-used that their 'hold' on things plugged in gets very loose. If it's a vertical outlet, it often can't hold the weight of the power adapter. The broad 3 prongs and light weight of this multiplug gets a much better grip without falling.- A good number of newer planes have power plugs, but if you get one, you'll only get one plug. It's the perfect time to top off all of your gadgets, but you'd have to keep swapping them. This lets you power them all.- International travel - most of us that travel abroad carry the travel adapters needed to plug in. However, it's a pain to have multiple adapters one for each charger. With this, you just need one adapter that the multiplug uses and then you can use all of your standard US plugs directly into this multiplug.Lastly, with us carrying so much in our bags today, I'm a big fan of squeezing the most functionality in a small and light package. This packs 3 outlets in half the size of other similar products. Check out the dimensions of the other similar products, they really are much larger. Save the room in your bag for what really needs it... or better yet, just save the weight.

Great buy for such a low price!
This is one COMPACT unit! I was truly surprised at the tiny size of the plug, as well as concerned about the size of the two sockets on the same side (front) of the unit, but when I plugged my square, large-ish Kindle charger into one of them, the one next it was easily able to hold my phone charger as well. I'm planning on keeping it connected to an extension cord to the outlet behind my nightstand (other socket is for the clock) for a lamp, phone and third outlet (if necessary).I'm going to recommend potential buyers to combine this purchase with a short extension cord (one foot would be fine), unless your primary purpose will be to plug it into a socket that's exactly at the level of a desk or nightstand. Its short cord would mean that an outlet 6" lower could prove a frustrating experience otherwise; the downward-facing plug would be a minus in that case. If your idea is to add extra outlets to sockets of a (hotel) desk lamp, or to use this one in a bathroom outlet for charging stuff on the counter, then this unit is precisely what you're looking for "as is."I have a Monster strip as well. Here you get a tradeoff of no glaring blue light and a lighter weight versus no fourth outlet and a shorter cord. The buttons on the front and back have to do with locking the cord in place I believe, but that seems a feature I can't see using myself. There's no fuse or suppressor inside, but 14 AWG is a fairly strong cable that can handle a fair amount of input before self-destructing. Moreover, the absence of internal electronics, and 300 Volt capacity, implies that this one should work fine at 220 with dual-voltage chargers, etc. just as the Monster strip does.

Fantastic! Buy it for on the go, hard to reach plugs, or airports!
The perfect accessory whether traveling across the globe or just keeping around the house so you dont have to reach behind the couch for the plug. This is a short, 3 port power strip with a heavy duty 8" cable lead. It is not a surge protector so if you want one of those, buy a different product. This is designed to simply give you a portable solution for more power plugs where you only have 1. The two "buttons" shown in the pic isnt a reset and I was scratching my head for a while on this one, but I figured it out... if you wrap the cord the opposite way, it converts the cable + power strip into a simple "fixed" power strip that plugs directly into the wall socket. Brilliant!!!! All in all, this is a fantastic purchase and Im glad I got it. Only about 5" long 2" wide and 1" thick (plus or minus some, I eyeballed it).

Small and Light
Small and lightweight, which was what I was looking for keeping in my bag, but it is slightly a bit more bulkier than I'd have liked.
