For the price, this is my bargain of the year. Occidental provides a nice strap with excellent quality hardware. Has a fair amount of reddish color to it, giving it a chestnut shade to the leather. Seems very adjustable, Would have liked to have had a loop to hold the extra though. The strap, beyond the buckle, seems to "Get away" from you if you're not careful. It is clear though that this strap is meant more for a tool pouch rather than a briefcase - it looks as if the leather is unlined. I've not had any problem with the dye rubbing off yet, but I'm a little nervous to wear this pouch with light colored shirts. Way exceeds my expectations, especially for the price. Only wish the part against your clothes was lined, I'll revise my review in a few months to reflect further experience. Great product!

I bought this as a replacement strap for my J. Peterman mail bag (which, if you're thinking about getting one, comes with a strap that is way too short).Very well made, good leather, nice hardware, good length, easy to adjust, the leather pad protects my shoulder. My only complaint is that the leather is a lot darker (more red than tan) than in the picture.

After much research on the web, I am very pleased with this strap. It is much more solid than it looks, and easily holds the weight of my leather camera bag with gear. Approximately 1 inch wide, by 50 inches long, it lets me wear the strap across my body instead of just on top of one shoulder. I lucked out with the color closely matching the bag, being sort of dark brown with a redish hue to it. Im very pleased with this purchase.

Top quality product.Good, strong leather. It's much stiffer than you think!It's more of a construction worker tool belt strap than of a hipster macbook case strap!I only wish there were a loop on it for the end of the strap!

The pictures of this bag on Amazon don’t do it justice at all. As a industrial electrician in a steel mill I needed something durable that can withstand the elements. Whether it’s grease, or extreme dust this bag holds up. It seemed as if every tool had its own spot in the pockets. The smell when first bought is amazing. If you buy this bag I highly recommend buying the occidental leather strap aswell. It’s a great bag that will last you for as long as you treat it well.

This is as nicely finished as the FIlson strap on my briefcase that I replaced it with. I just put the pad from the Filson strap on here and got rid of the leather flap this strap came with. It is very red but it's an attractive shade.

Great straps for my occidental bags. I liked the first one so much I bought a second. Each of my bags weigh 30lbs, but anymore than that and they’d be too uncomfortable.
