Received the remote. The link to the programming instructions only went to 2018 year model. I used the “chat” to ask about 2021 instructions. Bill replied, sent me a link for 2021 instructions. The instructions were simple, in 35 minutes I completed the programming.. works great! The Chevy dealer wanted $500 for the remote & programming cost.

Bought it for my 2019 Chevy Equinox and it worked perfectly but give yourself time - about an hour- to get it done. The instructions in your owners manual are spot on for both having 2 operating fobs or just 1, but at the end don’t be surprised when your vehicle won’t start (I only had 1 operating fob so you have to erase that existing program and start from scratch). I was initially able to lock and unlock the vehicle but not start it. I called Chevy and a dealership but they were zero help. Best they could do was tell me to tow it in and let them charge me $230 per fob to fix it. They wouldn’t even acknowledge it being in the owners manual and the only way to program the key was in the shop. After about 30 minutes and before calling a tow truck, tried the key one more time and both worked perfectly. Just be patient and don’t panic your way into spending just $30 to over $600 like I nearly did.

Easy to program and works great for my 2000 Chevy Terrain! Just followed instructions on YouTube and had no problems.

Very good product easy to install did not use the Manuel. I just googled and it was very easy. Love the product.

Great option other than paying for a dealer replacement. Took a bit to program. Looks exactly like the fobs that came with the car.

My Equinox manual says you must have two working fobs to program another. Not true. The web page that is linked on the card that came with it is no help for programing. Look for "How to program a Chevrolet Equinox smart key remote fob for 2018-2020" at You Tube.

I bought this one as a secondary key for my 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. I took it to a locksmith, he scanned it and everything came back great, he then programmed it to my car and it works perfectly!

Worked!Procedure:Chevy Equinox 20211: Pop cover off that hides driver side key hole. There is a hole underneath the handle, pull door handle open slightly, stick key or thin metal rod in and wiggle and pull cover off exposing key.2: Put key in and turn it to the left and then back 5 times.3. A message will pop up on the dash, leave car door open from this point on.4: Message will say something about learning mode, push the -push to start- button once, set time on your phone for 10 minutes, and return in 10 minutes where you will repeat this step 2 more times.5: after the 3rd time a message will pop up saying continue to key fob programing, push the -push to start- button and place your new key fob in the front cup holder with the buttons facing the rear.6: Push the start button and then take your new key fob out and push the lock button.7: The dash will say key fob 2, now place your original key fob in the cup holder, push the start button, then take it out and push the lock button.8: hold the push to start button for 12 good Mississippi seconds, then release. This exits programing mode.Screw paying 500 dollars for a new key fob from the dealer when you can do this. Unreal!Most cars have an easy process like this, most are easier and take less time. Spread the word.
