Q: Would this rug work well under a dining table? Will it break with sliding chairs?

i love the look of this rug. its tightly woven but I'm not sure that chairs will "slide" on the surface .

I live in AZ, as well, and have this rug on my front porch. It will only get direct, intense sun in the mornings, but will still be exposed to heat all day in the summer. I purchased this rug in February, and it's only May now, so we'll see how it does. So far, so good! I do not predict that it would ever melt, but hopefully it won't become brittle or discolored. Only time will tell... our heat is hard on things and nothing lasts forever in the sun.

Hello! We definitely recommend laying something with a bit of weight on the mat during windy weather. This is a lightweight mat and could potentially blow away dependant on the strength of wind you experience in your area.
