Will this melt in a cone 10 firing for ceramics?

A quick search shows nichrome has a melting point upwards of 2500 degrees F. Another quick search shows cone 10 temps to be well below that at less than 1700 degrees F. Do a test safely and find out. AND DON'T BLAME ME.
