I mean... just LOOK at them!
They're Fudge/Fate dice with a continuous heartbeat design that wraps around the edges, and they glow in the dark. What else do you really need to know?I love Fate, but Fudge dice often look kind of lackluster. Plain six-siders with even more plain plus, minus, and blank sides instead of the usual numbers or pips. Kind of boring. A lot of the fancy fudge dice come across as putting makeup on a pig -- elaborate designs around the edges that only highlight the fact that it's still just a square face with a plus or minus on it. THIS design, however, is simple and elegant. It does away with the boring pluses and minuses entirely, while still making it obvious which sides are which. And these dice glow in the dark, which, sure, is a bit of a gimmick, but still pleases my inner 12-year-old. You're not going to be able to play an entire game session in the dark with these -- which you couldn't anyway, since you wouldn't be able to read the character sheets and aspect cards -- but the dice are legible for a few minutes after the lights are off, and are noticeable in a dark room for a while after that. If nothing else, it makes finding one you dropped on the floor a bit easier.FYI: I decided to recolor a couple of these to be black with a glowing pulse. I don't recommend anyone else do this if they care at all about the glow-in-the-dark aspect The ink came off reasonably well after soaking the die in 99% rubbing alcohol and scratching at it with a toothpick, and I used a black sharpie to color over the faces. While I was planning on recoloring half of the set so I'd have 4 of each, I stopped at two. They look fine, but the glow isn't bright enough for the pulse to really stand out on the newly black dice, and while a black pulse line is clearly legible on the greenish glow-in-the-dark plastic, the reverse isn't as true. Since the recolored ones don't glow much anyway, I'll probably ink in the pulse lines with white paint to make them more legible.

Dice that show as well as glow
These are the only set of fudge dice in perdition that don't have the plus or minus symbols which looks like they are borrowed from some sort of educational system. Additionally, they glow flourescently which makes them stand out in any dice collection. The sides are high concept: flatline, blank and spike which makes them resemble a heart monitor for an unconcious character (which is what I used them for when all saving throws fail). Dim the lights and make a player roll to save themselves in what may just be the most important roll of a veteran player characters existance....if potentially not his last. Tell your beloved gaming crew that "a blank roll now always leads to a blank character sheet later"....Muahaha!

Just get yourself a blacklight!!!!
I love their weight, their size: feels good in my hand. But solar charging the glow is pretty much worthless, the charge doesn't hold like other glow in the dark stuff, you want a hand held black-light to make them glow right before each roll. :)
