Do NOT buy
The winch is absolute trash. I used to twice and already have to replace it. The gears are not lined up correctly, so they slip under tension. To the point where I can not get the boat to sit on the bow stop.

We put these on our fish house and they make it so much easier to crank up. Very easy to install.

Missing mounting hardware.
Seems like a pretty heavy duty winch...a shame they didn't include 3 mounting bolts. Now I have to go to the store.

So far so good
I purchased this for a slightly different use, instead of for a trailer I'm using it to lift / hold items in a hoist I built. Lifts 500lbs w/o an issue, I'm sure it could easily lift twice if not three times as much.

Load overrated.
Installed on boat trailer and the gear bent on the second use. Would not recommend.
