Q: Is this compatible with official lego pieces?

Absolutely. I have three of these sets and they are all mixed in with his legos and you can not tell at all.

Q: Does this package come with any orange 3x1 bricks and black 3x1 bricks? If so, how many? And are the raised circles flat (is, no writing/logo)?

The pieces do not have any writing or logo on the raised circles. Looking through the book of designs that came with the set, I don't see any orange or black 3x1 bricks. There's really not much orange at all, only a few pieces for the pink/orange tree-ish looking thing and a few small triangles for the back of the dragon.
