Worked great even though I bought the wrong part.
I was trying to fix my brother-in-law's garage door opener and saw that the metal contacts on the limit switch were broken so I ordered the first on I saw, which was wrong. He has a screw-type opener, not sure if that matters, but the "Liftmaster 41D4671 Screw Drive Limit Switch" looks like the correct part. REGARDLESS, these things are practically identical and what you likely really need is the metal contacts... DON'T TRY TO REMOVE THE METAL CONTACTS.Everything on this switch is very simply designed, if you ordered the wrong part, check out my ugly diagram for information regarding how to use parts from your bad switch. The difference between these two switches is the gear on the end of the center shaft; you can't simply remove that gear from the 'wrong' part, but you can simply pop the shaft assembly loose. Chances are, you also need the metal contact piece as well, don't try to remove that metal from its plastic housing, just unscrew it from the shaft and then screw it back on to the old shaft and pop it back into place.Lemme tell you why these break! The blade connectors that fit onto this switch are VERY LOOSE! They fall off and your first instinct is to try to tweak those screws on the side of your opener; now you've tweaked the screws too much and the metal contacts on the center shaft have snapped off. Use pliers to crimp down on the blade connector so that it actually sits tight on the switch and doesn't fall off, also watch how the switch travels and consider not running the wire through the plastic loops on the upper-left and lower-right of the unit or else the wire may get pulled loose (again!).

Restored my opener
While not an inexpensive part, it was much less expensive than replacing the opener. Also less time consuming and easier. An overall good purchase.

Perfect fit! Worked well
The item was an exact replacement for my Chamberlain HD200D. It arrived on time and was just as described. Finding out WHY my garage door opener wasn't working was much more difficult than ordering and replacing this particular part. For what is it, it seems a touch expensive, but it was much less than a new opener or calling someone to fix it.

Good product
I needed a new limit switch because the old one had a stripped gear and would no longer turn reliably when the opener was moving. It is easy to install - just click out the old one, slide the wires off, click in the new one and reconnect the wires. Be a little careful sliding the wire connectors back onto the metal tabs, They are thin and bend easily. Make sure you remember where each wire goes. You can take a picture before you start if you think you might mess it up but mine were color-coded and easy to remember. Also, unplug your opener before you start so that someone doesn't try to open it while you are working on it.

Item description totally correct
Just installed and appears to have corrected the problem. The main thing I was concerned about was the compatibility with my garage door opener, this is just like the original relay unit.
