Would these fit a child 6 years old?

Hi... I found out the hard way. 10 inch is not by lying it down using a ruler. I bought for my 8 year old who is on the small side and they were small. I got him the 11 which were just right but no room for growth. So they could be good for s year... 11 won't be that huge on them and if they are playing ice hockey they are better big to protect their wrists from slashing....

Good for a 6 yr old? Fingertip to mid forearm is about 9”.... close enough? Is there an xtra small? Thanks!
