We gave this a shot rather than spending a couple of hundred dollars on a whole-house KDF filter and I am very happy with it. We have hard water and it's super chlorinated by the city. My hair looked gross, flat, dull, and was breaking and falling out. Others in our household were getting very dry scalp from all the chlorine. This was very easy to install and made our hair and skin feel better immediately. We can tell when the filter needs replacing because our hair and skin will start feeling dry again, but now I replace it every couple of months to stay on top of it. I don't think the company makes any claims about it helping with hard water, but it seems like there is less mineral buildup in the shower, too.

This water purifier works with cold AND hot water...not all do. Your skin and hair will feel great, and your body won't be absorbing all the garbage in our local community waters.

I loved my original QwenchPure. Easy to install, no decrease in water pressure and markedly reduced chlorine content. However, I had difficulty unscrewing the shell to replace the cartridge. Made me wish I had just bought an entirely new filter for the $5 price difference. I'll do that next time. Mainly I'm unhappy with the decreased water pressure, about 30% I'd estimate. Otherwise, the replacement cartridge seems to work well, judging by hair, scalp and skin.

Really liked the original showerhead filter and got almost a full year's use out of it. Sadly when I went to replace the filter inside the housing with this replacement filter, it cut my shower pressure dramatically by at least 2/3. Went from being able to stand near the rear of the tub basin to having to stand under the dribble of water under the showerhead near the faucet. Could not get enough water to lather my shampoo. Tried to take it off and tighten it back together but same problem. I had already thrown away the original filter. I think this replacement filter is too tight and doesn't allow water to flow freely like it did in the original filter + housing. I will be throwing this away and trying to find a new product where the replacement filters are more reliable.

Very easy to replace the old filter. No issues at all. It lasted a long time as well and works great in our kids shower.

LOVE THIS FILTER!!! I have crappy city water... this SAVES my hair color and skin!! This also amazingly has helped with the redness in my skin. Tried a few others and kept coming back, never switching again!!! Easy to install and change out the filter!! Hope they make one for bathroom sink, would make washing my face easy!

This is a good filter for showering as it removes a lot of the chlorine and other contaminants that anyone needs removed if want to avoid dry hair,skin and excessive chlorine up into your respiratory tract. This is my second filter and I am happy enough with it to buy it again.

i have been using this product for 2 1/2 years now - my water feels better (it no longer leaves a texture on my skin or makes my hair smell/feel icky)
