THIS REALLY STUCK OUT TO ME HOW WELL IT IS MADE AND HOW HEAVY DUTY IT IS. IT IS ALREADY ON MY TRUCK. ONLY THING I WISHED IS MANUFACTURERS WOULD USE SOMETHING BETTER THAN RG58 COAX. AT LEAST GIVE THE CUSTOMER A OPTION TO PAY MORE FOR BETTER COAX. OTHER THAN THAT GREAT PRODUCT!

Shipping was on time and product is as expected. Am using the rubber cover on the bottom of the magnet. I have a 2015 Honda Civic and there is not enough trunk lid for a adequate ground plane at 27 MHZ. This is either using a magnetic mount or a thru the lid mount. Using the trunk lid with a Wilson, Firestick or Sirio magnetic mount on the trunk lid produced a best SWR of 2.8 to 1. I placed it on the roof just behind the sun roof and had an initial SWR of 1.4 to 1 and my Uniden CB transmitted and received well. I will change the coax to TM LMR 240uf with a soldered PL259 plug and tune up the antenna and will update this review. I am using a Comet CAA-500 Mark2 antenna analyzer to test the antenna. I have a Larsen 2m/70cm and a Browning GMRS antenna's mounted on the trunk lid with thru lid mounting and have no issues with the SWR at those frequencies.

Nice And Strong
Bought this to go with the Sirio PL4000 .. works great.. this ain't going anywhere once it's on there .Has a nice rubber'ish pad so it doesn't scratch the vehicle.

Strong magnet
Used in conjunction with a Sirio 5000 PL Performer, stays on at 70 mph without budging... haven't had occasion to do 80 with it on... yet.

Great mag mount
Really like this mag mount. Can’t go wrong with this mag mount paired with the Sirio turbo 5000!!!

So nice I bought 2 of them. Some room for improvement. Great magnet, very strong.
This is a great mount. I have two of them now. After about a month of use in harsh rain and high heat the piece of rubber that slides over the coax going into the base mount slid its way out making it not water tight. I am planning on using some non-corrosive silicone to hold it in place. Love the magnet. Very strong andd stays put. I am upgrading the coax on one of the mounts to handle more power and get soldered ends versus crimped ones. The "stock" one I am using with a Cobra 29 LX and it works great.
