A Very Good Utility Printer
This printer is perfectly fine. You'd think I'd be raving more in a five-star review, but I just want a printer that works and delivers decent quality. So far, this printer is meeting that standard. I decided to forego features I didn't really need, such as wifi and an automatic document feeder and went with the stripped-down G2260. I've only been using it for a week; so far, so good. It's fast enough and the print quality is fine. It feeds from the rear and doesn't hold as much as a tray, but it's not an issue to load paper more frequently. It installed easily, without loading a lot of junk on my computer or trying to get me to enroll in an endless ink program. The scanner program works well. Filling the ink tanks is easy and clean. Each bottle has a unique tip to ensure you put the right ink in the right tank. It comes with a LOT of black ink--three bottles. I'd love to be done with cartridges forever. (It's about time.) The print quality is good. It has an economy setting for drafts, which is fine for a document no one but me will see. (I hardly ever give anybody a hard copy of anything anymore.) The photo quality, using photo paper and the high quality setting, is also fine. If you want better quality than that, I'd recommend a dedicated photo printer. Given bad experiences with all printer brands, I bought an extended warranty for $30.

Keep it simple
I like everthing about it. I use a printer just for my personal/home needs. I am so tired of wireless printers and all the problems that go with them. I've had three and all of them gave me fits. This is a quality 'wired' machine. It was easy to set up if you take your time and follow instructions. Buy yourself a printer cable as it does not come with one. I had an old cable and it worked just fine. The new 'tank' type ink system was long overdue and works very, very well with no ink mess on the equipment or your hands. Print quality was just fine also. Everything works just as expected. Some may call this 'old school' technology but I wouldn't trade this for the best wireless out there, for the money. Most office supply stores don't even offer wired printers. This is a real bargain and I couldn't be happier. Wireless printers = grief A good Wired printer = relaxation

Good basic scanner-copier-printer
I decided for this particular model for following reasons: a) It works with my Chromebook print AND scan, b) It's a basic machine and NOT WIFI/Bluetooth enabled, c) The Megatank system, and d) The price- ($200 [tax included] as of this date)- for a copier-scanner-printer with Megatank is pretty decent, IMHO. PROS SO FAR: Setup was a no brainer, even with the basic "get started" instructions. Additional / advanced setting instructions are available online. The URL is in the manual; I had no problem with bogus websites as I typed it in my browser. Filling the ink in was smooth and accident free. The bottles are spill safe. Once I plugged the USB into my Chromebook it started working immediately- no drivers download or visiting Canon's website was necessary. Making sure that that the printer is registered in the chromebook's "Add a Printer" section and then SAVED should avoid any further trouble. The scanning function is supported from my Chromebook for this model! That's very important, as not all Canon models do scan from a Chromebook! It prints FAST and QUIET compared to my old Pixma1800 printer. CONS SO FAR: The connectivity is USB ONLY, which is not a problem for me but could be an issues for some users; and Canon has gotten so cheap that they don't ship the USB cord anymore with the printer; it has to be purchased separately. (I used the USB cord from my old Pixma printer). Therefore 4 stars. Another Con is that the machine takes forever to start the print job (apparently it re-calibrates and cleans the print heads EACH TIME). This however is a typical feature on all Canon printers I had. Once it prints, it prints FAST! Being a high volume printer it's supposed to be used frequently, which could become an issue for certain Home Only users. It works with Windows versions from 7 on. This is important as I will purchase a new PC soon. Unfortunately WinXP is not listed, so it won't be usable with my old WinXP laptop :( Further considerations: How much the ink will last is to be seen. The printing cartridges for my old Pixma1800 were a vampire on my budget; I truly hope that I will fare better with the Megatank system. Depending on that; the durability of the print heads and the cleaning sponge; and the quality of Hi Res Photo prints I might forgive the missing USB cord and upgrade this printer to 5 stars. All in all, my first impression of this printer is positive. I will get familiar with Advanced Settings and options, and try to get spare print heads just in case; also hopefully the sponge tray is available to the average consumer. I don't want to throw the printer out after a year or two because these parts are not available anymore, or only through an authorized Tech Rep!

This printer exceeded my expectations, and I have worked in IT for decades
I had this printer in my shopping list for quite some time. I read the reviews, some good, some bad, even reviewed videos and professional reviews on this Canon G2260 Pixma ink jet. I pulled the trigger after two weeks reviewing and it arrived in two days. I watched a you tube video on setting it up. One mistake I made was not being able to install the print heads, and just had to watch another video on it. I thought I might be pulling up too hard and didn't want to break anything, so I watched the video. After it was all set up, and initialized (no software had been installed at this point, and no USB connection) I copied a printed piece of paper (black and white). The copy came out crisp and clear. I moved the printer to my second computer and downloaded the driver from Canon. They say in their instructions to only download from the Canon website. So, do not use any other websites for the driver download. When I tried to install the driver, it started to look for the printer. I had not plugged in the USB, so I did that and re ran the driver install program. It kept giving me "printer not found". So I had to try it about three times and even though it still said "printer not found" but did show it on the "searching" screen, it did finally install the printer driver which includes the scan utility. I then printed my tax returns, 24 pages total, two copies. It printed at about a page every 20 seconds, but I had it set at the highest print quality for everything. I was ok with the speed. The last thing to do was scan. I opened the scan software and placed my recent electric bill (a color document) on the scan glass. It scanned the whole document in about five seconds. It defaulted into saving it in .pdf format, but you could change that to .jpg or something else. I was really astounded on how super fast it scans. Now that I have the full suite of software installed, I am satisfied that if I ever need to scan, I can do it very well and cheaply too. These bottomless tank printers are really fantastic and save you lots of money in ink. For a sub two hundred dollar printer, it is totally worth it. No USB cord or software is supplied with the printer. You get two large bottles of black ink, and a bottle each of each color. The color ink bottles contain half as much as the black ink,, and the black ink has a tank that is twice as large as the color tanks. I also have an Epson Eco Tank printer, same principle as this one, and the one thing that I don't like about it is the mess that happens when you fill it with ink. The way they designed the Epson, it is unavoidable to make a mess. But with this Canon G2260 printer, the bottles of ink are specially developed so that you don't get any ink on your fingers and you don't even have to wear gloves. This is really a great, affordable printer. Get it.

Ink Does Not Go In so Big waste of time
I give it 1 star because there was nothing lower. It sounds like a thrashing machine when it runs and is very slow to get going. But the main complaint is ink. When I got it I bought extra ink so I would not get caught short. The color never worked at all, it comes out mixed and splotchy, completely unacceptable. It is not possible to reload ink. I have tried and tried, had others try and same result it does not to in to the tank. Yesterday I put a bottle of ink on it with the mark still in the same place and left it even overnight and no ink is out of the bottle this morning. The only thing that works is the scanner which requires no ink. A big waste of money and especially time spent trying to find out from Cannon which was not help, what to do to get the ink to go in. Never buy another Cannon and never get one with ink bottles. ONLY CARTRIDGES from now on.

So Far, Very Good
I actually bought a Cannon TS3320 less than a year ago. I have a large business desk in my man cave with an overhead. My cat "Baby" likes to jump up and nap on top of my printer. She is all of seven pounds so I didnt have a problem with it. My male cat "Buddy" weighs 20 plus pounds and is too big for the surface area of the printer thanks god! Somehow Baby was dropping twigs and grass cuttings from the backyard off her fur and into the paper feed of the printer. My fault on that. The printer jammed and I have yet to succeed in fixing it. I absolutely hate the ink systems on inkjet printers for like the last 25 years. So when I was this nice "tank style" printer at a relatively decent price I decided to try it. WOW! I have more ink than I will use in the next ten years if the printer lasts that long. All that ink comes with the purchase. My friend is a Graphics Art Manager at the largest Graphics business in So Cal. He examined the sheets I printed out and gave me the thumbs up on Print Head quality. So for $179 I got a very nice printer with enough ink to outlast the printer itself. Such a deal. This is the way to go!

I'm Happy
After a falling apart new hp and a epson that won't accept epson ink cartages I'm so happy I purchased this printer. Really like the ink system and the free ink that comes with it. Didn't do a lot of printing yet but so far very satisfied with the quality of prints. Once the apps are installed a lot of things can be done. Easy to use and set up. This one doesn't have wifi capability so a printer cable is needed to connect to computer. They do have one that has wifi if you need it . I would recommend these printers to friends and family. Oh, and the price is right!

Too few features for the price
So, usually I like Canon products having purchased many of the years. Unfortunately, this one is not my favorite. Firstly, it's MY BAD that I didn't understand the Wired vs Wireless reference. I think my brain interpreted that as "yes you can connect the printer directly to your computer but also have the option of connecting other printers wirelessly". In this day and age, I didn't think any home office multi-function unit would come without a wireless option. So anyway.....the description mentioned "USB" but this only means the actual cable between the printer and the computer. While I couldn't find anywhere to describe the cable needed to connect the printer, I got lucky in that I keep all cables from all equipment over the years and happen to have the right one available. Others may not be so lucky. And, I cannot find any USB port to save scanned documents. This is another option I'm now missing compared to my previous unit. And, as I can find only the one paper input slot which is for the paper supply, I'm not able to copy or scan documents more than one page at time, and this is manually placing face down on the bed. Lastly, even though I'm connected directly, when I go to print for the first time that day it ALWAYS tells me the printer is offline. I have to hit the power button again to wake it up (literally every day). I'm really so disappointed in the unit that as soon as I have the budget to buy a new one, I'm giving this to a local small church who has a very small office and could use this kind of unit.
