This shampoo smells really nice but I find it dries out my hair so I won't be repurchasing this flavor.

My 1st OGX shampoo, I ordered this with great expectations. It seemed okay when i opened the lid to smell it (mild smell) but upon use I was totally crushed. It's not that it's awful, it is just average (and perhaps suited to different hair types). And average doesn't warrant this exorbitant price.I have a unique combination of hair that is soft near the scalp but which progressively turns rougher & frizzier as it moves towards the ends of my medium length hair. I have a normal scalp with extremely dry hair ends.I had no idea about Tsubaki blossom but it said on the jar that it creates petal soft hair and the idiot me bought it. Not only has it not delivered what it promised but it has transformed my normally soft close-to-the-scalp hair dry and the dry hair ends way more frizzier! So I am inclined to believe this shampoo absolutely cannot be used without a conditioner. It probably will work great for oily hair, I guess, but a big no-no for dry/soft hair unless you fancy your hair resemble straws.A word about the smell of the shampoo. Now I know OGX products are supposed to have mild fragrance but this one is so mild it can almost be advertised as fragrance free/non deodorized! As long as it's in the jar you can try to extract a subtle fragrance by focusing your nose to work on an overdrive but once you apply it to your hair, there is hardly any smell. It's almost as if you washed your hair with fragrance free shampoo.I would have rated this a star less (what it truly deserves) but gave a star extra for it's cruelty free label. (It might be cruelty free to animals but a pity it doesn't hold the same standard for our scalp & hair!!!)
