Useful reference book

I purchased this book because I want to learn about meridian and holistic ways to heal and treat the body. The book is well organized and shows the main acupuncture/acupressure points that can be stimulated along the meridians and the effects they have. It is well illustrated with precise and reliable drawings that are easy to follow and go back to for reference. It is a solid introduction to acupuncture points that can also be applied to acupressure, body tapping etc.

This book has many good illustrations and drawings showing the locations of the acupoints. However each point is referred by their conventional reference nos rather than by names. We address each point here by their names, hence need to use another acupunture book for cross reference. More values could be enhanced into this book by: 1. Showing the big picture of meridians of the body in a chart. 2. Good to have the names of the acupoints next to their reference no. eg: LI4 Hegu. Or a reference list of acupoints and their names at end of book. 3. An anatomy chart since vertebrae, and bones are mentioned. I will not recommend my friend to buy this book.

This is an extremely well-written, comprehensive text. Diagrams and layout make it extremely accessible. I am only just learning about accupressure and finding this text invaluable.
