Great set for a beginner! This set is very well made and comes with many pieces! I bought this as a gift and it was greatly appreciated! The company reached out to me to ensure it had arrived in perfect shape and asked how it was liked. We haven’t tried it out yet, but their customer service is top tier! They’ve even sent me a file with beginners tips and tell me if we have any questions moving forward to reach out to them. Customer service alone makes me happy with this purchase! This is a good starter kit. It comes with a lot of pieces/options/tips and a case to store everything in. For the price, you can’t go wrong. If you wanted to go heavy into pyrography, you might want to spend a bit more for a nicer kit, but this is good for beginners. Pros: -Lots of tips to choose from -Great starter kit, Has everything you need to get started -Burner cord is a good length -Booklet gives u basic info about the tips/etc -comes with a storage case to keep everything together. Cons: -Only one stencil comes with it -Case is nice, but came open in shipment so pieces went everywhere - would like something with a little more room/better clasp -burner took a bit to reheat as you use it, so had to wait while writing for it to hear back up to finish letters. -included stand is nice but i feel like it will break after a few uses -wish the booklet went into more detail on how to use the different tips/what they looked like/etc.

This comes with many attachments and even has a stencil! The case holds everything neatly. Very happy with this wood burner kit! Love it!

They were excited with the variety of tips

First use the tip got stuck and won’t unscrew. Removed heat and let cool, still unable to remove tip. Couldn’t even actually use for a project, I only tested the one tip. *tip went in straight, wouldn’t remove and when I tried to unscrew somehow it’s come crooked and still stuck. Update: I got it out but only because the metal is so soft that the screw in end completely stripped off inside the tool, making the tip completely unusable and I don’t know if the tool can be used with other tips or not now. This soft metal makes these tips the worst option for wood burning.

I bought this unit in May 2024..warranty is expired. I used it after purchase and went to use it recently and had no heat to the unit. I reached out to scissor tailed. They replied within 24 hours. It took 2 emails and they're sending me a new unit at zero cost, nor shipping cost. Attached a bunch of tips and stencils in their reply. This is the epitome, of outstanding service

Great tool for beginners, lots of attachments and storage is nice. Not too hot for testing out the hobby.

Case is not well.made

Wood-burning is my new passion, I already own a preciva, but I wanted to open up my options, this is exactly as described, comes with many different tips and accessories for all your wood-burning needs. Has a cord dial for heat settings and so far seems to work great!!
