Bargain that works!
I doubt it's a genuine iRig adapter, despite the logo on the side, but... It works, and without any problems. Allowed me to plug my guitar into my iPad and then use the effects within Garageband and Tonbridge to play around with different amps and pedals. An absolute bargain and worth every penny. The only complaint is you sometimes get a little background hum, but I think this is a cable screening issue. If I made sure the cables were not close together it disappeared.

Don’t buy
Doesn’t work. I thought it was the adapter but I’ve used several and get the same noisy feedback.

It works, but…
It works but the sound quality is awful. The feedback in my headphones is awful, it’s almost unusable depending on what setting I’ve got the amplifier on in garage band. I’ve got musician headphones so I know it’s not them, it’s sad because it has the potential to be great. I used it for my electro acoustic bass so maybe because it’s not specifically for bass that made the feedback worse?

Works as expected
Works as expected to record in Garage Band

Testing Android ability
So I picked this cheapo OG iRig up to see if my Android hardware would be suitable to use with it. I have a phone with a headphone jack (Poco X3 Pro) so tried that first. Connection was scrappy, dropping in and out, sound quality not the best when it was working and the lag was pretty bad. I then tried with a USB-C headphone dongle that has a DAC built in (from my old Razer phone), that gave a really solid connection with decent enough sound, still a bit of lag but just about usable. I tried with an iPad I'd borrowed for comparison. On iPad , it's brilliant. Ultimate Guitar app, Tonebridge app and away you go, absolutely rocking.
