Vacmaster - Ash Vacuum 6 Gallon 8 Amp (EATC608S)

We used a different brand for past 5 years. That was the 2nd one of that brand. I saw this & thought maybe a vac from a company that specializes in vacuums would be a better choice. I almost returned it because it had obviously been purchased & returned by someone else - but we really needed to clean our pellet stove. SO GLAD we kept it! Suction is much better than what we had. The hose looked shorter than what we had and it worked out fine. The filter was also better than the old. I ordered the paper filter for a 2nd layer of dust protection but they are back ordered. They don’t come with it, I ordered the attachments for cleaning behind the baffles and am very satisfied with this one. Really good deal for the price too. For us, it works great for our pellet stove.

Para mi gusto es que es muy grande para las cenizas y siento que le falta potencia para atraer las cenizas. No me gustó que las boquillas sean de metal.

Operator error. Motor overheated and stop but when it got cooled it came back. I think its safety feature.

It does the job for less money than the competition. I own other Vacmaster products, and I expect this one will also keep working after the name brand models I have quit. As usual, the tool storage leaves a bit to be desired; the attachments wobble in their holders. The hose is a bit too short for my liking, although it's par for the course for something only intended to be used with stoves and fireplaces.A larger diameter hose would be preferable. I am also a bit disappointed that the attachment between the hose and the canister is doesn't use the standard threaded pattern of most shop vacuums. It would be nice to hook this up to my table saw on occasion. Now I'll have to keep yet another vacuum around. The suction is a bit weak, though it's adequate for sucking up ash.
