Astonishingly poor durability
I bake every day, so it is likely that in the short time that I have owned this, I have used it beyond its projected life span. I received this baking tray on March 5, and commenced baking. As of last week, baguettes began to stick. Today, the pan would not release the bread, so I released the pan. The baking tray and bread were launched with great vigor over the fence in my backyard. Why on earth did I give it three stars, you ask. When used within its limitations, it's a handy bit of cookware. It was a welcomed crutch that helped me perfect my technique, but I no longer need it or the aggravation of its marginal durability. If you are a casual bread baker and wish to experiment with baking baguette, this tray can be quite handy in helping you deal with the fragile, high hydration dough you will produce. The tray, however, will not stand up to high frequency baking cycles or a harsh cleaning regimen. View it as a set of training wheels to get you rolling down the road. When it fails you, let nature have it. It will rust back to its elemental constituents in no time.

Buyer beware...
I read review but usually take them with a grain of salt and this was no exception, i read that the coating was fragile at best but thought that if i take extra care of it it will most likely last for long time. But those of you who think you can avoid other's pitfalls i have bad news. I took extra care of these baguette molds, wash them with the soft side of the sponge water and soap and after 1 (yes one) batch of bread there is already disappearing coating. I wish i had better news as there is no good alternatives but thought i would help make sure you don't think that the complain about the coating is not from those folks that thought cleaning with a metal brush would be a good idea.. unfortunately not the case... On the right side of the ledger they look good are easy to use and make baguette baking so much easier no need for a couche, the last rise and baking in those molds make baguettes the baker would be envious of but the coating is a huge concern.

What a timesaver!
Every year during the holidays, I make over a hundred mini pecan tarts for my family. They're always a hit, and I love making it for them, as they love them. The thing is, since I'm not a professional baker by any means, and I used to always hand roll and shape them, it would take me many long hours to bake all of them! This year, I saw discovered this tool through a Facebook video and ordered one here on Amazon to try out, and I will never go back to hand rolling and shaping the mini tarts again! This tart tamper easily cut the process down a couple of hours, and my back and I were super grateful. Just make sure to coat it in flower so it doesn't stick to your dough! I would absolutely recommend this!

Splintery and a waste.
Not great, the wood is splintery, I sanded and oiled it well to be useable. Otherwise, don’t bother.
