Perfect for a 9 year old
The light for lighting the spikes up works really well on ours. My 9 year old feels like the king of the neighborhood with this helmet because the only one like it in our town available is red (oh to be young again). The group of kids that ride their scooters and bikes all think it's super cool and it fits his small little head really well. I could see it being too small if your child is on the bigger side of the growth chart but mine usually needs extra padding in his so this one was perfect

I'm the cool Grandparent
My Grandson kept fighting his parents to wear a helmet during bike rides, skate boarding, etc. But Mimi to the rescue. Got him this rad helmet and now he won't ride without it

Please pack items better!
Helmet is awesome - packaging is bad. Helmet was loose with no protection in a large box and arrived scraped up from bonking around in the box in transit. Would be 5 stars otherwise.
