I would not recommend this for a hedgehog without a roof over it. One of my hedgehogs escaped overnight. The version of this I bought did not include the lid for the cage.

Is this cage big enough for 2 fully grown adult guinea pigs?

NO! The HSUS recommends 10.5 square feet for 2 guinea pigs. This cage is not that large & is only suitable for 1 pig, not 2, but of course guinea pigs should be kept in at least pairs as they are social animals. If you want 2 pigs you are better off to get 2 of these and connect them or build a C&C cage. C&Cs are not that expensive if you build them yourself (as opposed to the kits). You really need something larger for 2 or more piggies. The people keeping more than 2 pigs in just one of these are really cramping them up unfairly.

how do you change the bedding in the cage?

At first we used disposable puppy training pads, but found that too be very costly (cage is 8 sq ft). Then I bought a stack of fleece of the appropriate size (at $1.97 a yard at Walmrt. Double layered). Every evening we replace the fleece by taking it outside, shaking it out, and putting it in a special basket. When the basket is full (about every 5-6 days), we launder the fleece.

Can you buy a replacement liner? My guinea pigs have eaten part of it.

these cages with canvas are pointless. Guinea pigs will chew right through that canvas very easily and if they ingest it, it can actually cause them digestive issues. I suggest getting C&C panels and making your own. You can get sets of them cheap here on amazon. Or if you want to just keep the cage bars you have, Get some coroplast and put that on the bottom and up the sides, it bends and cuts very easily with a small utility knife. you can even use the c&c cage grids as a bottom underneath and zip tie it to the cage bars you already have and put the coroplast right on top of it, you can even put some of the grids underneath that and raise the cage off the floor and make storage under it as well. I have done this with my guineas (i have 2) My c&c cage is 5 x 2 and give 2 guinea pigs ample room to run and chase each other and have 2 huts, 2 foot bowls, 1 hay basket (they share well) and 3 tunnels they run through and play chase. as well as some chew toys throughout. they seem very happy and i have more grids once i move to a bigger place and can add on for a bigger space for them.
