loved Jazz and Mason (and her house!)
Mason has got to get out of his house before the feral shifter Alek kills him, so he volunteers to go hunt down a shifter healer. To do that he has to go to New Orleans and consult a human psychic to figure out where to start and he doesn't believe in any of that. He goes and meets Jasmine, who is a friend of Bree's from Lion Eyes. He doesn't hide his skepticism or that he thinks it is BS. When her nasty and aggressive boyfriend shows up and threatens her, his shifter protectiveness takes over. He gets him to leave with the help of Jazz's very haunted house (it is actually quite funny the role the house plays in protecting Jazz). One thing leads to another and she ends up going back to Austin with Mason. From there Mason becomes a true believer, the course is set for them to go to Alaska to find the healer, and a lot of sparks fly between the two. Jazz cares for him but ever since a shifter broke her heart when he found his true mate she isn't willing to think long term with Mason. In the end, Mason proves to her that what they have isn't temporary but permanent. It doesn't hurt that the house in New Orleans totally approves of him. It was a very cute story with an entertaining plot and conflict. Their road trips take them out of Austin which is refreshing. It is less than 200 pages but it really doesn't feel like a novella. The curse of the novella is nowhere near this story. It was very enjoyable and entertaining.

3.5 stars, sweet couple
This one is a bridge between the previous books and the direction the series is headed. It doesn't quite have the same punch as Mate Bond, which absolutely gutted me, but I really did enjoy it. The series as a whole has some pretty good world building, the mythology of shifters is unique, there hot shifter sex, and the characters are mostly just flat out nice and often adorable. Seriously, there is a 10 year old polar bear cub, what more can you ask for? And this story nicely ties a few things up, and opens the series up with a brand new integral character, so I figure the story arc is about to heat up.As for this particular couple Mason hasn't really featured much so far, and Jasmine is a brand new character, so it was a little hard to get a bead on them at first. But I adored Mason, he's more Beta than most of the heroes in this series, in a completely delightful way...he's just...scrumptious is the word I think I am looking for. Jasmine was almost a little too good to be true, but it didn't push her into the dislike-able eye rolling category, so it worked in this short format that there weren't too many thorns to get through. And with her skills it will be interesting to see how she impacts the shifters and their long range goals. They one thing I guess to warn for readers who aren't familiar with this series is that this series is filled with fated mates, and this one is no exception. So heads up if that isn't your things, but in the context of the world building fated mates make sense. And this particular couple are so sweet together I think they didn't need a longer book. It's a good quick read, and I am super excited that we get another story next month and then another in September. It looks like it is going to be a hell of a year in the Shifters Unbound series, and I find myself excited. This may be just the thing to get me out of my slump.

A compelling story that keeps you turning the pages
Five stars for Wild things by Jennifer AshleyGenre: #Romance, #Paranormal, #Drama, #SuspenseSeries: Shifters UnboundAudience: Adults, NAReview:As in all of the books shifters unbound series, this one is filled with action and Romance. In this story Wolf Shifter Mason needs the help of psychic Jasmine in finding a shifter healer. One of the shifters in his house has gone feral and attacked his sweet aunt Cora. Shifter healers move around a lot and stay by themselves so they are not easy to find. The story are full of action and heart warming scenes that takes you from Austin Texas to new New Orleans and on to Alaska. I really fell in love with the characters and got completely lost in the story. It's a well defined story that makes you want to settle in with a hot toddy, in front of a warm fire. It's hot, it's sweet and I couldn't stop turning the pages.

Jennifer Ashley rocks, Yay for shifters!
Another awesome shifter book from Jennifer Ashley. She is definitely the top when it comes to the shifter genre, she is such a good writer that a house can become a character (Sorry you'll have to read it to get any more than that :). The book is engaging, and although the plot is pretty straight forward, she throws in elements that keep you reading, and you get to know the characters so deeply that regardless of what happens you want to follow these two all the way through. And I absolutely love that each romantic pair are different, Although the shifters themselves have characteristics that the shifters share (naturally), but Jennifer has created characters that maintain their own unique personality which they continue to maintain as they appear in other books. If the romantic scenes weren't so good, you'd forget you were reading a romance book because the action is just as good. But if your thinking about jumping into this series, definitely start from the beginning, part of what I love about this series is how everything builds, and at they very least you keep getting cameo appearance of previous couples

Love This Series
The Shifters Unbound series us one of my favorites. Incorporating different legends and beliefs it also has a different essence on the origins of shifters. This story, Mason's the youngest of the Lupine brothers in the Austin Shifter town. It centers around Alyck and the search for a Healer to save him, he's gone completely feral and starts with Alyck attacking Mason. Mason goes on the hunt for the healer with help from Bree's friend Jazz. Jazz is a gifted human living in a plantation house that is alive. Then things get really dicey as a soon to be ex shows up.For readers who love shifters, this series is a must. I laughed aloud at some parts and feared up at others. The characters are familiar and pull in the reader. It was like visiting relatives that live far away. Catching up with them, comfortable and exciting. Never boring Ms. Ashley writes a world that has endless possibilities with Happily Ever Afters.

lovable characters, good plot
To save a feline shifter from going mad, wolf-shifter Mason has to find a healer who does not want to be found. Psychic Jasmine is asked to help him, but she does not trust shifters...A slightly different shifter story, but well told, with very sympathetic characters, a pinch of humour and quite an interesting plot. This book is in the middle of a series, and although it did not say anywhere to read them in chronological order, I sometimes felt I was missing a bit of what was happening before.Still, quite an enjoyable book, and the missing part did not distract from the story.

Wild and Magical
Wild Things is a really lovely read. Jennifer Ashley continues to expand and evolve the magical mystical world of the Shifters. The two main characters are Jasmine (a psychic) and Mason (wolf). Also playing a major part is Zander a Shifter healer who I think will play a part in future books. This book has good ole New Orleans magic, or as Mason calls it woo-woo. The relationship between Jasmine and Mason builds from a simmer to boiling and enhances the story beautifully. The plot is fast paced and flowing, the numerous characters all have their own unique identity and voice. The Shifters Unbound series is a really great read - I only wish Jennifer could write them faster.
