Should I stain or seal the wood even when it is brand new? If so, recommend any particular kind?

It would be a good idea to seal the wood if using it outside in the elements!! I wouldn’t stain it personally because the color is beautiful!! Mine is currently under my pergola but I will be bringing it inside come fall. Hope this helps.
