The 6mm describes the size of the inner diameter hole. 9mm is the exterior diameter.

From past purchases I pick beads described as 9mm. Many don't give details of the inner hole which is the 6mm. These 9mm x 6mm are the same as basic 9mm beads. Also, this is a quality company. I have always been pleased with their beads.
