Q: What is the difference between the pro formula and the extra strength formula?

I heard the difference is the size of particles. My experience:: Eextra strength Boxiecat (orange print) seemed to work great for my multiple geriatric cats. .I ordered 2 big bags of the pro, thinking it would be better and it was on sale. WRONG—the clumps never seemed to set for scooping. The litter stuck to their paws and it was a funky mess.

Q: Why use clay? Clay can kill cats.

Clumping litters should not be used for kittens because this can be an issue for them since they're goofy babies who put dumb things in their mouths lol. That being said, the only time this would be an issue is if the adult cat is actively eating the litter. If the litter doesn't stick to their fur, then they won't be eating it, so it shouldn't be an issue.
