I absolutely love it. You know when people say "it's the little things in life", they are talking about this! I can't believe I spent so many years without it. When I (finally) realized this idea existed, I shopped through so many variations but most are made for square armrests or have reviews of falling etc. I thought I wanted an organizer but I figured I'd try this since it was cheap enough.While looking at this I wondered how wide the flat/nonfoldable middle wooden panel is (the one that holds the black tray). it's about 4.75" if you are wondering.Ok, 1. I love the color and finish. Looks much much nicer than it costs. 2. The black tray part is about 3 7/8" wide x 12 7/16" long. Long enough to sit remotes and phone so really no extra organizer needed. It's versatile enough that I plan on using it as a mouse pad too for lazy couch computer work. 3. Perfect friction. Doesn't slip and I feel comfortable enough leaving a wine glass on the edge of the couch!! Didnt think I would but it really is sturdy enough. Then it's no hassle at all to lift it up and move it if I want to. 4. Lays perfectly flat if you want to use it as a tray between two people on a long L shaped couch. So it's just a great universal couch tray. (Perfect for me, this is what I had in mind when I opted to bypass the organizer/pockets on the side like some other models). 5. It fits my tiny little back rest too!! Still doesn't slip and fall so this is truly adjustable to any dimension. 6. Like every other busy and/or lazy individual out there, I can appreciate that there is no assembly required! :)7. I wrote this long a** review coz I was so excited about it. Now just buy it.8. I needed something where I could put my phone on the arm of the sofa and it wouldn't slide off. Our sofa has wide arms but they curve just enough to make it impossible to sit a phone or a remote without it sliding off. My phone hits the deck enough as it is, so I went searching for a solution.This is a very simple one. It is designed to fit over a range of sizes, even the super-wide arms of our couch. And it stays put. And my phone stays on it. And not just my phone. At first I tried cans of soda, and those stayed. Then plastic cups. Then glasses and coffee mugs. As long as it's on the no-slip part and you don't knock it, it sits there steady as can be.I love when I can find a low-cost solution to minor problems like these, and this one is a winner. Definitely recommend.

I purchased this to provide a stable surface for using a computer mouse on the arm of a sofa. It is excellent for that purpose. Laying my arm on the square edges bothered me a little at first, but that was easy to remedy by rounding the edges with sandpaper.I also use it from time to time for beverages although I try to avoid that because if you set too close to it, you can dislodge it when standing up. Other that that, it is generally very stable.

The grey is not attractive so I am take the time to repaint it. The arm of our recliners are rather large so it isn't as sturdy as I would like, but it's better than nothing. It was a bit pricey for what it is.

I absolutely love this and use it all the time! I received this one as a Christmas gift but my son ordered me one for my birthday and while it indicated "it may have been delivered" I never received it.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. It's nice-looking, goes well with our motif. Anyone who's seen it asks about it and says they want one. It's sturdy, molds well to the armrest of the armchair and doesn't budge once it's been set down. The velvet on the top keeps your drink, phone, remote, etc., in place so you don't have to worry about something slipping and spilling. We're likely going to buy another one for the sofa. Really pleased with this gift.

I actually like this as it does what it is supposed to do. The only complaint I have is that the front and back edges don’t have a bevel on them so there isn’t a “sharp” edge. Making that beveled like the rest of the edges would have given this 5 stars.It is on the arm of the couch and your arm is going to end up on it from time to time. Past that small gripe it works as advertised and I do like it.
