For allergies, sinuses, colds... this is THE stuff. The blue jar competitor might be superior for coughs, but this is better for nose situations. They're actually pretty different, to me I apply this just above my lip, or cautiously just outside nostrils when I'm congested. This is slightly thinner, more like petroleum jelly consistency. It seriously helps the chapped tissue abused raw skin. The scent is strong for sure, but in a slightly different way than the blue jar. More of a camphor element. Blue jar is sharper and icier, but is far less effective for me. Like definitely can't use it anywhere near your nose/lips because it will legit burn. Not that either should go IN your nose. But when your nose is congested and crusty, the green jar is very very soothing. Helps breathe freer for sure. Calms itchiness from allergies And a tiny bit in your nose wont ruin your day if it happens. Blue jar is... bad idea near your nose. Blue jar is a little thicker, like it has some parrafin. I feel like that makes it a good, long lasting carrier ointment for chest application. And that sharp icy bite to it its probably good for a cough/throat situation. Im slightly biased. This stuff is fabulous! Versatile uses. My nose was irritated from/during a cold and smearing it on my nose and lips calmed the chapping. Feels good on sore joints. Great on chest to open airways and add "heat "
