These are a perfect fit for my Durango. They snapped into place just as fast as I could take them out of the package. They lift my gate perfectly and with vigor. Method of replacement. Either get a 1x2 that is cut to length to hold the liglftgate up or have someone hold the gate up. Use a small flat head screw driver to pull the retaining clips from one of the old struts. Pop the old strut off. Mine pulled off easily. Connect by pushing into place the top connection on the strut. Align the bottom connection by raising or lowering the gate and pop the bottom on. Duplicate to the other side.

Good product. You would think its not going to work until the actual weight of the gate is on it. Not very strong first foot but then opens by it self.

Bought these brought them to my local shop and they couldn't even put them in. Bolt head rounded out immediately on the first strut half way threaded in. Opposite side bolt threaded half way in and snapped off inside of my vehicle with barely any force on it to tighten because they didn't want the bolt head to round out on that one too. Had to drill out the snapped bolt and barely were able to removed the stripped bolt without other tools as well. Cheap is an understatement, definitely do not recommend. Better off purchasing something more expensive that might actually be durable enough to install without issue. Waste of time and waste of money.

It did not fit to the screw on my dodge durango 2003 waste my money.

These seem to be high quality, definitely a 100x better than the shocks I had beforehand anyway. They make lifting the tailgate much easier, installation is easy aslong as the old shocks aren't completely seized on there. Great buy!
