CAMPINGMOON Camping Grill Propane Gas Stove Adapter, Input: EN417 Lindal Valve Canister, Output: Propane Gas Stove Z20

This product (Campingmoon Item Z20) is an adapter that connects to an EN417 Lindal Valve connection on a butane, isobutane, or mixed fuel gas canister and then provides a CGA 600 connector that is the standard connector used on one-pound propane cylinders. This adapter is screwed into the butane, isobutane, or mixed fuel gas canister’s outlet port and it will then provide the connection point for various propane appliances. This is done through the adapter’s CGA 600 connector. The CGA 600 connector is a 1” X 20 threaded connection that is found on the one-pound propane cylinders. The connection is sometimes called a “Throwaway Connection” since it is seen on the one-pound disposable propane cylinders. This adapter thus allows for appliances that are normally supplied with propane gas to utilize butane gas instead, assuming that the pressure differences can be accommodated by the attached appliance. I ordered this product so that I could use several small propane appliances that I have with butane canisters in an emergency situation. Specifically, I wanted to be able to fuel a small propane grill and a single burner propane stove with butane gas. Special Note: This adapter does not include a check valve in its design and as such, once the adapter is installed onto the butane, isobutane, or mixed gas canister, the gas will be allowed to freely flow. Consequently, the other connections necessary to contain and utilize the fuel gas must be made before the adapter is attached to the butane canister to prevent the unnecessary loss of butane gas. Alternatively, a Campingmoon Item Z15 or BKZ15 valve may be installed between the gas canister and the adapter to be able to shut-off and control the fuel gas flow. This product is made from an aluminum alloy for the body of the adapter which contains the CGA 600 and the EN417 Lindal Valve interfaces. The Amazon page indicates that there are brass components in this product, but I cannot see where they have been installed. Both interfaces have rubber “O”-ring seals built into their connections and the CGA 600 interface utilizes a nylon bushing. The machining on the body of the adapter is amazing. The square cut knurling included on the EN417 Lindal Valve interface section is precisely executed and it provides excellent purchase for tightening or loosening the adapter from the gas canister or the propane connection. The threads on the CGA 600 section are perfect. The finish all of the aluminum surfaces is impeccable. As with every Campingmoon product I have ever purchased, this product is of superior quality and perfect function. The manufacturer of the product has left no defects in the design or manufacture of the product; it simply works perfectly and is of obviously of very high quality. I used this product to connect an isobutane canister to a butane stove using the Campingmoon Z59-CB adapter hose as a test. This adapter (and the Campingmoon Z59-CB adapter hose) worked perfectly and there were no fuel gas leaks.

This is a fantastic adapter that doesn't leak, is extremely functional and lightweight I'm a very compact and definitely a must-have for anyone who uses stoves that can run on butane, propane, isopro, isobutane. Having the ability to use various types of gas in your stoves gives you added security and knowing that you will have the ability to use your stove either when your recreating or in an emergency situation you should always have all the adapters available to you on hand I'm ready to use like this one which is very reasonably priced and well made.

SO much more convenient that the standard Jetboil set up. Now I can put the propane tank on the ground under the table and save the table space up top. Absolutely worth the money.

Works great. I wanted to be able to just bring isobutane instead of multiple fuel types. Runs a jetboil Genesis just fine on isobutane.

**READ RETURN INFO FOR THIS COMPANY PRIOR TO PURCHASING ANY OF THEIR LIKELY DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS** I got this “adapter” to avoid needing to pack around a massive green/coleman fuel canister on top of my isobutane canisters. This “adapter” is the right size for “propane devices”, but does not serve any purpose whatsoever, as it does not allow fuel to flow through it. The lindal-valve fuel canister in the photo is at least 80% full and the flame the “adapter” provides is basically non-existent. The small flame in the photo would extinguish with the slightest movements. The reason for this is that the “adapter” has zero valve parts like every other female propane valve port does. (See the difference in the photos of the empty “adapter” and of a properly assembled female propane valve on the Coleman canister.) The “adapter” is missing parts that allows full gas flow. So the gas flow does not occur to propane devices. It is completely and utterly ineffective. Now I’m out $12 because it’s non-returnable, even with it being defective; I am unable to return it or get my money back. Absolutely ridiculous.

Works as intended, but be aware it wastes gas every time you screw the canister on it. I suspect the center post that actuates the canister valve is a little to long, so it releases gas before the threads are sufficiently sealed. Every time I screwed the canister on and off some gas was wasted. Seems obvious, but I'm sure people out there have screwed one of these types of adaptors on without it being mated with the intended assembly , and received a face full of gas as a reward. There is NO VALVE OR CUT OFF and it will release a lot of gas if you do this...

Only cable and it won't fit into the propane gas I have. Won't accept return!!
