Mouse's First Night at Moonlight School

School was ready to start, but when Miss Moon called the role Mouse did not answer.  Everyone looked around and did not see Mouse. Where was Mouse? Surely she would not miss the first night of Moonlight School. Can  you spy Mouse on the book cover?  She is quite small and very quiet.  If you want to know what happens on the first night of Moonlight School you will need to read the book.We know some children are shy and have a hard time being in a new place with strangers. Mouse is one of those children. This sweet story is a lesson in overcoming fears, making new friends, along with obeying your parents, who often say, "Always be polite and follow the rules". I found the illustrations depict the dark night and moon with many of it's nocturnal creatures in a way children can get a perfect image in their minds of the story that is being told.I highly recommend this book.Disclosure: I received a copy of this book from Candlewick Press/NosyCrow for an honest review.  I was in now way compensated for this review.

Miss Moon teaches the animals that are awake in the evening at her Moonlight School. Shy little Mouse is entering school for the first time and she is frightened and hides. As you read the story ,you will see how the teacher is able to help Mouse feel comfortable in the classroom and make new friends.It is such a delightful story for young children. If your child is going to enter school for the first time and is shy, like Mouse, this might be a nice story to share. Discuss school and their fears. In MOUSE'S FIRST NIGHT AT MOONLIGHT SCHOOL, all of the animals who are awake at night attend school at Miss Moon's Moonlight School. It's Mouse's first time to attend the school and she is scared and hides. Although Mouse is hiding, Miss Moon does all she can to make little Mouse feel comfortable and a part of the class.

Miss. Moon is awesome.We love these books and my daughter at 4 loves the detail in the drawings and the stories. She has just started school so loves the school connection. Lovely stories well illustrated. Can't wait for more.

A gentle tale about a shy mouse who learns to be herself when helped by her new-made friends. Endearing with beautiful illustrations. I definitely recommend this book.
