Much louder daily driving
It does everything that it claims. This was the first car mod I've installed, and it took me le than an hour start to finish with reading instructions and watching a video. One of the clamps to secure the new Cold Air pipe to existing location was very very tight. It's possible, just takes a bit of force.I love this thing, but I also don't care for how excessively loud it is to drive around town. People always ask if there is something wrong with the car. So yes it is noticeably louder, especially in a cold start. With a blow off valve and exhaust I'm sure this will be way cooler. I enjoy it.2015 Veloster Turbo

Yup. Worth it.
At the time of writing, I've had the intake installed on my daily driver for a month now. So far, I love it.The product came very well packed. Nothing came damaged, and there wasn't any styrofoam or anything that couldn't be recycled. Very nice. Everything was pretty well labelled, with the exception of the hardware. It was kind of obvious what went where after staring at the diagram, but I used the wrong length of screws the first time and had to take it back apart. **PLEASE BE AWARE** there are two lengths of screw. Use the short ones to put the housing together and don't be a dummy like me. The hoses had a bit of extra length, as did the weatherstripping.Assembly was pretty straightforward. The hardest part was trying to make out what the pictures in the diagram were showing. The print quality was pretty low. The video on youtube helped fill in the gaps. The screw to hold the top cover to the heat shield did not line up for me, but I think my subframe is slightly bent. Other than that, everything went pretty smoothly. Again, pay attention to the length of screw and it should be fine. The sound on this thing is amazing! There's a nice, audible whoosh when accelerating, and the sound of the recirc valve is very present. It's pretty close to the sound of a blow-off valve, and very audible with the windows down. Inside the cabin, the noise is very noticeable with the stereo off. I have the dimension audio package, and at volume 4 the sound of the stereo and intake are about equal. At volume 8, the intake is audible, but barely. At volume 12, the intake sound is covered completely. As far as performance: The throttle response is a bit better, but during daily driving doesn't make much of a difference. Spirited driving it is very noticeable, however. I've noticed that when the turbo kicks in now, it's much more sudden. I measured my 0-60 with TC off three times prior to installing the intake with the torque app and OBD reader, and three times after:Stock:Run 1: 8.165Run 2: 8.199Run 3: 8.345 (wheelspin)Intake:Run 1: 7.911Run 2: 7.955Run 3: 7.983Seems like I got a nice little bump in power from this thing. I also measured the intake temperature before and after. Ambient on both days was 76F. With the engine warmed up, the starting intake temp was about 95 degrees for both. As the engine heated up from the runs, the stock temp increased to 102, and the K&N increased to 106. Not a huge difference, but it's certainly not pulling in cold air.Overall, I'm very impressed with this product. For the sound alone, it's worth it., the power bump is just a nice little bonus.
