Paid for itself the first time I used it
I had a doozy of a problem. A countersunk, stripped 3mm allen head screw recessed into a 3/4" deep hole that's about 3/4" in diameter. The pictures tell you everything you need to know. I couldn't cut a slot in the head of screw because you obviously can't fit an angle grinder or even a Dremel wheel down in the hole. Drilling the screw out wasn't really an option due to ruining the threads in the aluminum housing the screw was mounted in. Couldn't use nut/bolt extractors either because the screw was countersunk. After reading the reviews, I bought this set. I used the 2nd smallest bit and drilled out the stripped hole in the screw with a 5/32" bit, as marked on the extractor itself. Hammered the extractor lightly into the screw and while pushing down on the extractor with one hand, turned the wrench with the other. The extractor bit into the screw immediately and 10 seconds later it was out. This saved me a lot of money and hassle. The component the screw was mounted into is a serialized item, if you get my drift. Replacing it would be expensive and a hassle. If I would've tried drilling the screw out, I almost guaranteed would've boogered-up the aluminum housing. This set is now one of my favorite tools. I consider myself a well-equipped shop guy. I already had some screw extractors for Philips bit screws as well as a nice nut/bolt extractor set. This set is different. It fits where other extractors don't as well as working on any type of screw or bolt, if you drill the appropriate pilot hole. I now understand I should've had these on hand already. If you work on your own cars/firearms/hobbies, you should just buy this set. You will need it one day.

Useful for the occasional snapped bolt
I can only comment on the one experience I've had. When changing the front shocks on a 1996 Tacoma w 336,000 miles, possibly w the original factory shocks, a bolt snapped. I ordered this set, plus a longer set by Irwin, to see if I could get the remaining portion of the bolt out. After drilling into the relatively small 12 mm bolt, the Irwin didn't work for me. It has a square end that was hard to get a hold of. Tried the smallest extractor in this set. It bit in, and because of the shape of its end, you can use a socket and ratchet to turn it. It bit into the bolt, and the broken bolt unscrewed from the hold easily. It is a great feeling when something that looks daunting can be taken care of that easily. It is very worthwhile to have this set in your tool chest, even if you only need it occasionally. You'll be glad you have it.

Really handy for TIGHT spaces!
Super great for those limited work spaces where you think it's impossible to get something out of. Saved me thousands. I sheared off a oil pressure sensor in the upper oil pan of a nissan titan. This product was perfect! If it would have broke or not been able to remove the broken sensor It was going to be either a full engine pull to get it out or a full upper pan replacement which would have been 1000 plus I was quoted. I drilled it out big enough to get the 7/32 easy out on it. The did try the smaller ones, but was witnessing them flexing. Instead of breaking them off inside the broken bolt, I played it safe and drilled it out big enough to get a stronger easy out on it. Worked flawlessly.

AMAZING! Removed high-quality carbon steel bolts on the first try
This is one of those things you don't want to skimp on and this was well worth the cost. I had to remove armrests from a high-end office chair and what should've been a 5-minute procedure turned into at least 2-hours. Not only were the stripped bolts made of high-quality Carbon Steel with high strength and anti-corrosion, but they also had thread lock on them. Once the new extractor set came, I drilled a slightly deeper hole with an M42 drill bit (also for very hard metal) and twisted the extractor in by hand. After a quarter of a turn, it bit in so well, I didn't have to tap it in with anything. I removed it with a small handheld, multi-socket tool in a few minutes. It would've been quicker, but I had to address the nut on the other end that kept spinning as I was trying to remove it. That too, was impossible to get at so I shimmed it to keep it from turning. I've spent countless hours, if not days of my life removing broken and stripped nuts and bolts and it's no fun. This set made it easy and fun again! Also, if you're going to buy an extractor set, get a set that works for the worst case scenario. That means being able to remove automotive-grade bolts. Same goes for the drill bits. This way, you'll be able to use them on any type of metal. The cheap sets break and wear down so fast if you use it on anything besides cheap, soft metal. Thanks a lot for making a product that finally works!
