Style:5 Packs Make sure you're using the most secure labels with Avery mailing labels with Ultrahold permanent adhesive. Avery Ultrahold adhesive sticks and stays better than other basic labels on a variety of surfaces including envelopes, cardboard, paper, plastic, glass, tin and metal. Created with TrueBlock label material, these shipping labels will completely hide everything underneath so that you can cover older information and reuse old boxes and packaging. These 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"" rectangle labels are also completely waterproof and will stay intact even when submerged in water. They are great for food applications as they are temperature resistant and acceptable for food contact. Great for product labels as they can reach grade A barcode readability and can withstand damage from scuffing, tearing, smudging and up to a year of UV light outdoors. They are also chemical resistant, making it easy to wipe away viruses and germs with multipurpose cleaners and disinfecting wipes. Do NOT use with inkjet printers!
These are polyester film labels, which is what makes them waterproof. Ink is made to soak into porous paper; in fact inkjet ink is water-based. Think about that a moment - water-based ink, waterPROOF medium. These labels WILL NOT WORK for inkjet printing; you’ll just waste labels and ink and get all kinds of upset when it smudges. For laser printers, if you have a manual feed tray and can open a door on the back of your printer for the finished page to exit - otherwise known as straight-path printing - definitely do this. When the polyester heats up it shrinks ever-so-slightly - about 1 mm for the whole page - and causes the page to curl. The backing paper is pretty thin so if the label sheet has to make any twists or turns on the way out, it will probably get stuck. In fact, if you can’t do straight-path printing, you may want to avoid these altogether and stick to paper labels.I bought these for making front panel graphics for Eurorack synthesizer modules. I use natural aluminum cut to size. These work and look GREAT and are easy to trim around the panel dimensions and potentiometer and jack holes with a super-sharp hobby knife. The labels go to the edges and are borderless, and the backing paper is perforated (coarsely) at the middle of the page. My printer will allow me to print on a half-sheet without complaining, which is a good thing because like another reviewer said, they won’t work well going through a second time. When I tried feeding a label sheet through again, I had serious toner bonding issues - it looked bad and was missing in spots - because the first time through the surface of the label had gotten somewhat hardened and wouldn’t allow the toner to adhere. Normally I only print a half-sheet at a time, which can fit up to eight 4 HP labels easily, more than I build in one go.

Absolutely perfect for shipping
I love these labels. They're the single most useful supply in my entire office. I do a lot of mailing, usually flat rate document envelopes, and these labels are basically made for that. The half-sheet labels produced by USPS.com are exactly the size of each of these half-sheet labels, there's no messing around with templates or resizing, you just slip one into the printer and you're good to go.They're tough enough to handle USPS-grade rough handling and still arrive legible, and that's good enough for me.

Truly waterproof labels
Great product. The only label to use for printing postage. No need to cover the label with clear tape, the printing really is waterproof. Have reordered several times.

Discounted due to "cosmetic damage" missing pages
I love these labels and have no complaints about the product. I ordered this package of 50 sheets (100 labels) discounted for cosmetic damage to package. Upon receiving it, I noticed it to be opened and only 42 pages were present. This is almost 20% missing. Quantity incorrect or missing product was not noted in the description. I would have expected this to be noted.

EXPENSIVE.....BUT THE BEST
are these labels expensive? YESAre these labels high quality, smear-resistant and the best for ebay/online shipping? WITHOUT A DOUBT.No need to shop around and compare prices folks....there are cheaper alternatives (including Avery products) but these are hands down the VERY BEST.

Works better than the paper version for me
I was using the paper version but it wasn't sticking well to my plastic bubble mailers. These labels work much better! My only complaint is that when they are printed off on a laser printer they are staticy and can get a little wild when trying to apply. Also the glue backing comes off if you touch it with your finger. Both are minor inconveniences and I'll continue to use these.

Ink smears easily
These took awhile to dry. Any moisture after adhered to package WILL smear the ink. Will not purchase again. My post office also commented on the smearing in weather.
