Fantastic budget neck
I've bought and used this neck on 3 of my builds and they have been great. They feel good, play well, and don't look half bad. All of mine have been leveled and all have reached a flat bow. I've had no sharp edges and really no major problems playing and installing. That being said, I have had two smaller issues. The first one I've had is that the tuner hole is just slightly too small to hammer in the tuning nut for ones I have. I've had to file out the holes in order to get them to fit. The second is that I've had a few small chips on the headstock and pocket insert. This thing is not the prettiest or the nicest of necks, but it's one of the cheapest and one of the most consistent ones I've come across. If you need a cheap, finished neck, this is the one for you.

Excellent neck for the price!
Just a couple of things to be mindful of. The spacing for the tuners is closer together than what you would find on a standard "Fender" style headstock which required slight modification of the large tuners I had on hand. Also, the fit was really loose in the neck pocket but I used some pickguard material as a shim which made the fit perfect. The body is from an old Hondo P-Bass and I do not know if the pocket is larger than Fender spec or the neck is slightly narrower. Just realize you will probably have to make some adjustments to make it fit your application. Frets are nicely finished and level. Not sure if the fingerboard is actual ebony but it does look nice especially with the gold hardware and the arctic white finish I on the body.

Great neck!
I bought this as a replacement neck for a bass with a stripped truss rod. I did have to shim the sides of the neck pocket because the previous neck heel was slightly wider than a standard neck, but it wasn't a big issue. Installed pretty easily actually! If you want it for something like a Squire or other import bass, I suspect it will drop right in!The finish was flawless and very smooth, and the fretboard feels fantastic! I actually think this neck was a big improvement over the original! I'm very pleased with it and would definitely buy another!!

Headstock slightly too small
Great quality neck. Its a shame that the headstock is about 5mm too small to accomodate the Fender "Kluson" style tuners .If it could I would have given it a 5 star rating.

About this neck.
Holy cow guys!! This neck is premium Amazing!! The maple neck and fretboard are beautiful!!! And those frets were on point! I literally only found one fret I had to level on that whole neck!! That’s unheard of on any guitar neck I have ordered from any one else. Also. It fits the neck pocket perfectly! Honestly for the money I spent on this neck it was worth every penny and I can’t thank you enough for such a great product guys. You really hit this repair I was making out of the park. 🙏

Where to begin
I bought this neck knowing that it would need some work to make it what I was looking for. On the plus side the fret work was done nicely but thats where the good things end.first there is a slight twist to the neck, very slight but its there. While the description states the fretboard is "composite ebony" I am highly doubtful of that claim. To prep the fretboard for the work I was planning on doing I wiped it down with naphtha. Doing so caused some of the dye the manufacturer used to stain the fretboard black wiped off exposing a light natural wood in some areas. Next and one of the most concerning things is that the wood used for the neck is EXTREMELY soft. While the neck was laying on my padded workbench I mistakenly laid it down on a bamboo toothpick. Well that toothpick left a noticeable indentation in the neck. Deep enough that you would feel it when playing the bass. Now I did NOT apply any pressure to the neck to cause the indentation, it was strictly from the weight of the neck that the impression was made. While maple is listed as a material in the neck I am 99.9% sure that the neck itself is basswood. Basswood has a hardness rating of 367 (if its American Basswood that rating jumps to 410) and maple has a hardness rating of 950. A bamboo toothpick would not have dented or made an impression on maple. These necks are also coated so if you play on dying, staining or painting these necks you will have to do a ton of sanding to get that coating off. This neck is set up for tuning machines that are that have a very large diameter shaft so most factory hardware will not work with this neck. Also the holes drilled for the tuning machines are egg shaped and not even close to round. Last the inlays on the neck are a poor quality plastic. I replaced the inlays with real abalone and when I attempted to pop out the inlays they just deformed and would not come out. When it came to drilling them out they melted and made a mess. I took a chance buying this low $ neck and I lost on this one. Its basically unusable for my project and will get hung in my workshop to remind me to buy actual quality parts.

Neck is the slightest bit warped
The neck is slightly twisted, drooping down on the bass side of the neck towards the upper frets, still usable but quality seems questionable.High frets as well that need hammering down, visibly poking out of fretboard. I'm hoping that getting these back down all the way may correct the dip/curve in the neck. Giving 3 stars because it's about average construction at this price point.

Good
It looks nice and the edges of my frets were smooth as if they paid attention to them. My drill holes did need some fitting as they were slightly undersized, and not round enough to use 3D printed bushings. I used a 45/64 drill bit on them, but a file would also work.
