Aerobie Skylighter Disc - LED Light Up Flying Disc - Colors May Vary

I've given away two and bought two as gifts all in under a year. It flies very far and very accurately with a nice wrist snap and is almost easier to see at night. I changed my grip slightly so that my four fingertips are right on the inside since the rim is thin and has a different shape and it then really started to fly. 50 yards is no problem! The rim lights up really well making it easy to see and judge. The rim is stiff and can hurt with some miss-timed catches that hit your wrist but that comes with the territory. So many people have enjoyed it and of course strangers in the park or an have asked about it. We're already looking forward to some warmer weather here in the Northeast so we can toss it around. Batteries last a long time and are simple to replace. It's durable and is easily shaped if it hits something hard and gets a little too convex. I really love it and brought it all the way to South Africa for some photo fun. If you like frisbees, you will absolutely love this!!

Just here to say after all this time I still love this disc. Always fun with friends and family. I’d buy another one but I don’t need to! Everything still works.

It’s been a year since I purchased this. We got the color yellow, which slightly bummed us out, but it lights up GREAT. This has been our most used frisbee & we take it everywhere. The lights work great & it looks like a little ufo soaring across the field. It goes pretty straight & we can throw this far.We’ve thrown it straight up & had it collide with the concrete/dirt below- still works. We’ve accidentally hit a few cars- no damage. The outside of the frisbee is a a soft but rigid, flexible silicone plastic. This thing has taken heavy damage & it’s still in great condition. No dents, tears, & the light has been functional.It’s easy to throw & goes far, we absolutely love this thing. We have never played frisbee much until we got this, now it’s a staple for when we have bbqs or outings. It’s been a great addition.

Last year I bought the Flashlighter, which is an awesome frisbee. You can choose the color, it lights up in a cool pattern, it flies straight and far. It is definitely the coolest looking of the two brands, the downside is that it is very hard thick plastic, if you catch it wrong it hurts, and it was the more expensive of the two. But it doesn't feel like a cheap generic frisbee, it is a quality toy that stood up to the dog and hours of play and still lights up great.This year I bought the aerobie to have something for the kids to play with while the grownups play (you will definitely want more than one at some point). The aerobie is made out of softer plastic with a soft rim that doesn't break your fingers off if you catch it wrong, so that is nice. It is cheaper, so if that is important to you, you will not go wrong here. The downsides are, the light up effect is just not as cool. Instead of being a white frisbee that lights up colored led, this one has a colored rim and a white led. It is pretty bright, it will sometimes shine right into your eyeballs (not a big deal, but it does happen). Because it is a lighter plastic, if there is any wind you have to chuck it pretty hard, or it will catch the wind and not meet your target. Also the soft plastic gets bent and then will wobble in flight, it is easy to bend back though. You cannot choose your color, I bought four different aerobies of different varieties from two different sellers and ended up with all orange, not a huge deal, but our family loves blue....Overall, when we had a choice, we preferred the aerobie to the flashlighter because it was so easy to catch, even for the kids (6 and up). They are both good choices though, we have had a ton of fun with both varieties and found both very durable. Make sure to get glowsticks for your crew so that you can see your targets, another thing we like to have are the flashing bumpy rings (also from here on amazon) they are very visible and reusable. and this disc flies great! I can't say enough about the light feature; its especially useful during the winter months when I want to do something outside in the early evening hours when its already dark. No problem...flip a little switch to turn on its built in lighting and you're all set. This thing really sails compared to my old traditional style "frisbee." I would also have to say it is a bit softer on the hands with its rubberized rim as compared to a hard plastic disc. As far as durablity goes...it is still a truckin' after countless games of "flog the frisbee" where a buddy of mine would stand approx. 20 yards away from me...throw his disc towards me, I would then in turn try to take his disc down while in mid air with a disc of my own (again, try this at night; it's that much more fun). Each disc would take a beating, but continue to fly straight and the lights still work too.

I keep several of these in my stash of birthday gifts - it is a universally appreciated gift for all ages. Especially with the early dark nights coming, it is a really fun item to have at the park or the beach. And I love this one because of the soft sides - no more hurting your hands if you are a beginner frisbee thrower or have small children who tend to get bonked in the head with a frisbee more often than catch it in their hands. The only downside is you don't get to pick the color so if you have a friend obsessed with green (we have a few of them), you can't choose and they may end up with the red that looks a little like a dark pink.It ended up in the water and we were afraid that would ruin the battery area but it seems pretty well locked down so the water didn't damage it and it still lit up the night really well.People always stop us to ask us where we got it. Great frisbee, flys awesome and the light is a nice touch

This is ok as a frisbee but the highlight is the light, which makes the playtime extended, throughout the evening or even night time. It is sturdy enough to resist a few good bumps but I wouldn't expect this to resist rough play. The sides are softer and the light can be easily turned on and off. Replaceable battery, should last you at least a few months of play time.

Dieser ist naturgemäß viel leichter und flacher und fliegt somit wesentlich weiter.Der Sky Lighter ist vielmehr eine größere Variante der Aerobie Superdisc - größerer Radius, gleiche Materialien, in der Mitte der Disc ein schaltbares LED Element mit austauschbarer Knopfzelle. Das dadurch entstehende höhere Gewicht mindert die Flugweite bzw. bedingt einen leicht höheren Kraftaufwand beim Werfen. Flugverhalten ist dabei ähnlich stabil, der weiche äußere Ring ist angenehm zu fangen und das Leuchtelement tut seinen Dienst hervorragend.Alle, die gerne Speedminton mit Knicklicht bei Nacht spielen werden auch großen Spaß mit nächtlichem Frisbee haben.
