Does the id work with the apple ipad mini 4?!? i have to portal and i still can't get it to connect. i'm a bit shocked it won't work

The only things I’ve got it to work on is phones, either apple 6 plus and higher and some Samsung, but no tablets, laptops, etc. gotnotnfornmtnson for Christmas, I will be returning.
