What is the difference between the escape and the escape light other than weight? Is the normal escape more durable?

Other than the weight the Escape has a foot box, hood with drawstring and a zipper. The Escape Lite is squared off at the top and does not have a zipper or foot box.

How many degrees of warmth will this add when used with a sleeping bag?

It's a bivvy bag, not an electric blanket, so the amount of "warmth" depends to how much heat your body does generate.This bivvy does reflect a good amount of body heat, so it does work well as long as you're well insulated, especially from the ground. No bivvy or sleeping bag of any price will be "warm" if not insulated from the ground and/or the body inside is not generating heath.In my experience, I would say it's between 5 to 10ºc.
