it works for small aluminum boats
great for fishing down to 100' maybe squeeze a bit more depending on ball weight, it feels sturdy

no clamp mount when shipped
I agree 100% with one of the reviewers. The photos indicate model 1050MP with the clamp mount but when I opened the box, they shipped model 1050, which doesn't come with a clamp mount.I ended up paying an extra $65 for the clamp mount as there is no way to attach it to my inflatable.Misleading advertising for sure. No point in returning it as the two models are almost identical, except for the mounting method
