Protects but makes fingers fatter
These protect the fingers as needed, however they add a bit of thickness to the fingers which is problematic because your fingers start touching strings they are not supposed to and it ruins the sound of the note. Would recommend going bare-hands unless you're really suffering and getting deep cuts.

Dose not really protect fingers
The fabric is consistent al over the glove, I would have liked to see more protection in the finger tips

You need to read this
I am a man of nearly 70 years old. due to various medical conditions, my hands are very tender, and the elasticity in my skin has almost gone. When I play the guitar I get 'tramlines' in my fingers and this has a real adverse effect on my playing.I thought this glove was a gimmick, I've tried the little rubber fingertip things, but they are rubbish, so I was sceptical about this glove, but thought I'd try itI don't usually write reviews but had to do this. THES GLOVES ART FANTASTIC, they fit like skin (order one size too small), are extremely comfortable to wear, and they actually make the guitar sound better than when I am playing without it.I cannot recomend these gloves any more highly

Not perfect, but it has been helpful
I bought this glove for just under £10 a couple of months ago and thought it was a bit expensive to be honest. Does it work? Well, yes and no. If your fingertips are sore, the glove is a brilliant help - you'll find yourself being able to practise for much longer than usual. If you're a beginner, you'll be able to build up calluses without pain.My problem is I've had a bit of a skin allergy on my index finger (probably to nickel) - and I hoped the glove would help it to heal while I gave my fingers a break from touching the strings directly. It hasn't done that - the skin is still damaged but I have been able to practise for longer. In terms of sizing, get the smallest size possible to ensure the fabric is snug on your fingertips, otherwise you'll not be able to fret as cleanly. Will it last a long time? Probably not, as I can see the fabric is starting to look very slightly stretched now on the middle finger. Still, I have been using it daily for the past two months, playing my acoustic six-string guitars and even my 12-string without any problems. All in all, I do recommend it.

Scepticism overturned - it works
I have a chronic illness and I cannot manage to practise every day. It's frustrating, because I'm not building up the calluses I need to play for more than a few minutes. This glove is the solution. I really didn't think it would work, but now I can come back to my guitar practice after time out, and I can play for as long as I need to. I probably wouldn't wear it in front of my guitar teacher, but I love being able to practise long enough at a sitting to make a real difference to my playing.

These are men's sizes - Small is too big
I went for a small as my finger size was 7.3cm, however they are too big. All my fingers are too small for the glove and especially my little finger. I wouldn't be able to play the string like a second skin. It actually still fits my Dad's hand which is 8.5cm and stretches nicely. I am hesitant to try an extra small. I guess I have small female hands and I think the sizes are made for generally wider male fingers.

Excellent For My Needs
Seems most people use these for health reasons, but my need was to try and combat squeaky sounds during sliding notes on my acoustic guitar. Although the guitar has a great sound, at some points on the neck, the squeak is unbeatably loud, especially when recording. I have tried all sorts or remedies, but nothing so far has worked. However, this glove is the best result so far. It does not eradicate all the noise, but certainly reduces it to a manageable level. 4 stars only because it is not perfect .... there is still a bit of noise, and it does increase the size of your fingers, albeit only marginally, which in turn affects the formation of chords ... but I am very pleased with the result. Certainly recommended for this purpose.
