I watched YouTube videos on how to move the circuit board to the new fob shell. The new one in the videos popped open with their fingers. This one did not, I finally broke it trying to get it open. Then I found out that there is a screw holding it together, under a piece of black tape, the YouTube videos did not show that, and the original did not have that. It should have been simple to open this way. My old key did not quite fit the new shell, so I had to use the new Key mechanism that came with it, and popped out the little rod, and insert the old key in that. Took some time, but I could do it much faster now that I have done this before. The result was Great

Very good quality. Circuit board fits the shell perfectly. The old key will not fit the new shell. Requires that the provided blank be cut by a professional key maker. Not recommended if you can not find a shop that will cut the new key. Prompt delivery and good customer support.

You must basically destroy your past key with a hammer and flat head. No instructions provided and no video online is even decently helpful.

If you have a broken button, this is a good repair. It took me some time to take the original apart but went back together with a little patience. The screw driver is to replace the key, which is nice.

I bought this to replace one of the factory fobs for my 2011 Camaro when the rubbery plastic on the unlock button caved in. No instructions for disassembly were provided with this replacement fob, so I used directions I found online for disassembling the factory key fob......and snapped the housing of the new fob right in half! The original GM key fob does NOT have a tiny screw holding the housing together, but this replacement does! Not happy! This screw is covered with black electrical tape and is located under the gold bowtie emblem. Don't make the same mistake I did.....now I have a circuit board and battery only. The housing does appear to be of decent quality and is very close to the original. I may order another but have to give 1 star for now as the presence of that screw is a BIG thing for the seller to not mention.
