Bluetooth Car Audio Adapter for 2008-2012 Mercedes-Benz with AMI Port, Bluetooth Transmitter with aptX-HD Sound & AMI Cable

I have a 2010 Mercedes e350. I am the original owner. I love my car and have kept it in near showroom condition. My only issue with “my precious” is lack of music streaming from my phone. I have tried MANY solutions over the years, but none worked satisfactorily—until now. This product works flawlessly (so far), so long as you follow the included easy to understand instructions (took me two tries to set up because I did not read carefully the first try). Using an iPhone 15 Pro and Apple Music app, the Command interface on my vehicle works beautifully with music I have downloaded to my phone. THIS IS KEY—in order to reliably use your car’s Command interface to control music streaming, as well as to see the title and artist of the current track, search and select album names, playlist titles and contents, etc., it appears you must have the music you want to play saved on your phone (my phone has lots of storage, so no problem here), similar to an iPod of yesteryear. However, I can also stream other music from Apple Music and from Pandora (I don’t use Spotify, etc., though I assume those other apps would work similarly), but without the Command interface functionality. In other words, streaming music not saved to your phone, i.e., from apps, is controlled from your phone. Thus far, the sound quality has been EXCELLENT—better than my car’s CD player—the Bluetooth connection remains strong and the music is never (so far) interrupted by signal issues! (If you have tried other solutions, you will appreciate why this is a big deal.) I could not be more pleased with a product! Highly recommended. 👍🏻 P.S. My only question is how much power this device draws when not in use? Should I unplug it when not using my car for awhile so as not to drain my car battery? It appears to remain on even when the car is not in use.

It works great! Never thought I could get Sirius upper channels on my 2012 SL550. Saw a post on Facebook when Sirius moved my favorite station, Yacht Rock, back to 311. Saw someone recommend this Choocl Adapter and thought I would give it a try. Plugged it in, went to Bluetooth and it was there. Opened Sirius and instantly it worked. Next time I got in the car it immediately came on . Love it. This is a very high quality solution that solved a problem I had been told was not possible for my older car.

This was a great buy and well worth the money. I initially tried to use a generic/cheaper device which also needed a usb plug which did not work. After reading reviews I ordered this product. The steps to install are super simple and I appreciate that it auto connects as soon as I get into the car. I did read a review about leaving the device plugged for multiple days without use that caused me a bit of worry. So, when I am home for the evening or am not planning to go anywhere for a few days, I just unplug the device. When I plug it back in, it takes less than a minute for it go back online. Sound quality and ease of use are great! I have an Samsung phone and use Pandora to stream my music. I also use Google maps and directions are given through the sound system. I use both apps simultaneously without any issues. Small note: if you are planning to use wireless earbuds as soon as you exit the car, you have to be a certain distance away because it will auto-connect back to the device.

Was working fine, aside from some wackiness with the readouts on the tracklisting and play time right up until shortly after the product support window closed, for no discernable reason it just stopped being read by the car, and did test alternate pluggable adaptors to make sure it wasn't the cars hardware... will not buy again.

Simple and seamless installation and setup. Music starts the moment the car starts. Perfect in every way.

Works great, easy to set up and has given me zero issues with performance. Music sounds nice and clear in my 2012 Audi Q5. Well worth the price in my opinion. I am taking 1 star off because you do have to manually disconnect your device from the adapter. In my case, I often have to disconnect multiple times as if will reconnect on its own. Minor inconvenience while I work to save up money and upgrade to an Android Auto compatible radio.

I have a 2011 MB SL550 that came with a 30 pin adapter for aux media. As I updated my iPhone over the years I had hit or miss luck with 30 pin to lightning adapters but managed to limp along. When I got the iPhone 15, I couldn’t find a 30 pin to USB C adapter and adding a female lightning to USB C didn’t work (phone would charge but no audio/Bluetooth). Finally I came across a message board suggesting this product so I ordered it, it arrived in a day (!) and after plugging and unplugging a few times, it works incredibly well. Although it doesn’t charge simultaneously, I bought a double charger to stick in the cigarette lighter that works great. The bonus is that my husband can also pair his older iPhone with it without needing multiple plug in adapters. So far, no issues with COMAND interface - track listings come up on Apple Music/Spotify/Audible and volume controls work on dash and steering wheel (with note that I needed to turn up the volume on my phone before I could adjust it with car controls). My car is 13 years old now, I still love it and only wish that some of the other things that go wrong on it with age could be fixed as easily and cheaply.

I was worried when I first got this because it didn’t connect at first. Not sure what I did wrong but once I tried reconnecting it, it worked perfect! The sound is great and it now automatically connects my phone as soon as I turn on the car which I love! 10/10 purchase and now I can charge my phone and play music at the same time in my car 🙌
