Q: How many pills does each compartment hold?

Not very many! The picture that shows several pills in each compartment is deceiving. I can't even put one large fish oil capsule in it.

Q: Would Caltrate 600 mg or other calcium-type size of tablet fit in one of the compartments? Thanks!

Yes it will. I take a calcium +D vitamin and it fits. Also, I take a glucosamine/MSM pill which is HUGH and it fits as well. I hope this helps :)
