La gama Cotman en concreto es pensada para estudiantes y principiantes que quieran iniciarse en este arte.La caja que adquirí yo en concreto viene con negro y blanco colores algo innecesarios en la acuarela, también viene con gris de payne el cual es bastante versátil y con el que puedes hacer muchas mezclas. En la foto que adjunto se puede observar la amplia gama de colores que se obtiene con 12 pastillas.

This is a great set of Winsor and Newton Cotman paints. As the attached photo shows, by removing the putty eraser and moving the top partition down to the bottom of the box (where there's a slot for it), the box can easily be expanded from 16 to 24 half pans, and that's sufficient to have a really good palette of colours, rather than just a travel paintbox.Although the supplied colours are reasonable enough, adding 8 more can greatly expand the range. I have a number of Cotman sets and I've added black, Rose Madder, and a couple more blues, greens, and earth colours.Highly recommended.

I have been using the tube typebut I always wanted to buy the solid one.I saw very good deal on the siteSo I bought 24 Half Pans set.It’s easier than squeezing a little bit of paint each time from a tube.Hassle free and not messy.But the colours are totally different than the solid paint on the palette.So I made the colour chart which helps me when I choose a colour.24 colours are almost perfectBut I had to buy 2 colourswhich are “Permanent Rose “and “Prussian Blue.Except that I am very pleased with the set!I have been enjoying the alphabet colouring bookwhich I bought from Amazon.

I started illustration classes recently and my teacher recommended W&N. Since I'm still a beginner I didn't want to spend too much but I knew that if I wanted to get something decent I'd have to invest a little. I found these to be a great quality for the price.I was debating which set to get but opted for the Deluxe one in the end: 16 colours, a pencil, putty rubber, and brush. The quality of the paints has been great, very vibrant and pigmented, I've done quite a few pieces now and the pans look like they've barely been touched so I anticipate I'll get quite a lot of use out of it. Speaking of, most of the pans are completely filled but two colours are noticeably much smaller than the others, cadmium yellow and turquoise. I don't know if that's the norm but thought it might be something to note.The pencil's just and ordinary wooden pencil, haven't used it much so I don't have much to say. The putty rubber's good, I appreciate it having a paper sleeve and plastic wrap, makes it easier to handle. The brush is quite small, nice for detail work, I bought my own set of brushes so I just use it in a pinch.The case itself feels quite study despite being plastic, I like how spacious the wells are in the lid for mixing colours. I wish they included another divider for another row. There are notches that indicate you could fit another one in, though the rubber would probably have to go. It's quite fiddly setting it up and the dividers didn't feel very secure initially but I'm a messy user and the paint has made it stick in place.The selection of colours is just right for me, not too many to be overwhelmed but enough so I'm able to mix any colour I need. Very happy with it overall, wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I painted a beautiful sunset over the lake using Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolor paint and it turned out great. I love the 12 tube set because it comes with the chinese white, which I use to mix with orange and yellow for the water. I didn't use black for this painting. I just had fun mixing different colours. You can make so many colours with this set.
