Fantastic cookbook with all the humor of its creator. My family loves watching You Suck At Cooking YouTube channel. I was so happy to have stumbled on his cook book.

A really fun recipe book - as good, if not better, than YSAC YouTube videos. I read every word... so funny, and I'm looking forward to working my way through every recipe. Every one of them looks delicious. Long live calamari :-)

If you know anything about YSAC, you might expect a cookbook that rides on personality, absurdist humour, gags and which features recipes that are probably hit and miss. You'd be right about the (brilliant) absurdist humour and gags but (surprise, surprise!!) very wrong about the recipes. They work, and as someone who has authored cookbooks and worked as a chef, though I have not yet tried all the recipes here, I can tell you they stand up to scrutiny; they're not fancy, but they work. The Brussamic Sprouts are amazing, the way the basmati rice in Panic-Fried Black Beans and Rice is cooked would make an Asian mother in law weep with joy, and the Pan-Fried Kale uses (omg!) four cloves of garlic! Yes! That's the minimum amount of garlic you need to make kale taste good. Too many cookbooks pander to garlic phobe sensibilities and I'm sick of it. This guy tells it like it is. In a sea of precious, needlessly complicated and painfully PC cookbooks, this one's an unapologetic, roaring renegade. Thank you YSAC! If you're in two minds, don't be. Just buy it. Even if you never cook from it, the hilarious, irreverent and surprisingly insightful prose alone is worth the price of the book.

Das Buch ist sehr lustig und leckere Gerichte sind vorhanden. War das perfekte Geschenk für eine Person die dem Kochen näher kommen will.
