A life of our times
A very important autobiography of a man who withstood and excelled the tests of our times. A must-read for insight into the histories of America, post-WW2 analyses and into the life of man who remains a source of greatness and inspiration.

Excellent
What a great tale. I didn’t know the details of his hustling, let alone that he sold reefers to a who,a who of Harlem jazz. Malcolm X was an original thinker who was portrayed as a one dimensional charicatute by the American media because that’s a limitation of the American media - it doesn’t want people to see examples of original thought that explains the reality of things that the elite wants to pretend are not things. In this book X let’s us see how his thinking and awareness unfolded. He didn’t live long enough to become wise enough to see his own limitations, but he kept learning and improving himself and if he’d have lived to be old he might have developed a better appreciation of MLK’s strategy of non violence. But no, X was an activist, an optimist, and a can do man. He did well, and this is a great book. I read it through without stopping. Fascinating and endearing.
