Ginoh's Valley - quick and easy pastrami brine
Cure has plenty of spices in the mix. Great value I got two uses from the package. (I was brining a smaller venison roast so I only used half the packet). Combined with approx 1 gal of water and submersed the meat in it for 7 days. Turning and stirring daily. Rinse well prior to cooking. (Pictures are of pre & post cook. Not of the brine cure itself). Following the curing process hit it with a pastrami rub and smoked it. These pickling spices were spot. No need to measure and portion. Just add water and good to go. Notice that nice red cured color.

Great Flavor
This is my second purchase of this product. It makes a great corned beef (and buffalo brisket!!!). However, the new package doesn’t have instructions for the ratio of salt mix to water.

So good!
I split this pack in half and used it two separate times for 3lb briskets. I also cooked cabbage with the first batch, and baby potatoes with the second batch. Both meals turned out perfectly! Will definitely be buying again.

Amazing brine
Was amazed at the flavor of my smoked pastrami brisket. Would definitely use again.

Takes more than seven days to completely cure the brisket.
The brisket came out tasting good, but could have used more peppercorns. I cured a 3 pound brisket for seven days and the center was not yet cured. I added some of the cure with water to my potatoes and cabbage. It made them taste horrible. I couldn't eat them. It works well with store bought corned beef, but not here.Overall the brisket tasted good, but not better than store bought. It was too much work to get the same outcome.

Great Tasting corn beef!
The corn beef we made was excellent. I prefer it with a little stronger flavor so I will add a little more next time. I will also add a little more pickling spice when I brine. Overall, the recipe makes a very tasty corn beef.I also smoked a piece and it made perfect pastrami with no changes needed to the amount I used.
