I like this size for a single cup of coffee. Small enough to fit almost anywhere (small house friendly). It’s very sturdy and has been fine in the dishwasher. Bonus: stainless also survives houses with kids. Ceramic or glass would be toast. The little waves in the filters really do hold onto some of the coffee. I’m glad I chose this one even if the filters are more money.

I'll start by saying that I'm not normally a drinker of filtered coffee, but it seems easier on the stomach than my usual moka pot brew. Of the few pour over cones I've tried this one is easily the best quality of manufacture and the best looking. It also seems less fussy, I don't weigh coffee grounds, time water pouring or measure water precisely, nor do I take temperatures and believe it or not it still turns out acceptable coffee. Just don't use boiling water to make your coffee, pour your hot water in dribs and drabs and two tablespoons of grounds to get three quarters of mug-full seems good to me. The only negatives: buying filters over the internet as you aren't going to get them in your local supermarket. The coffee isn't that strong either, I thought it was just me so I went to one of our local more pretentious coffee joints and asked Mark (the ginger bearded) to show me how and after an age he produced better coffee but still lacking the bite and texture I normally get in my coffee (trapped in the filter?) so it lacks body and is missing an after-taste, to be fair some call this a nice clean cup along with a lack of gritty bits at the bottom of your cup!

Delivery was fast and product arrive as it is stated. Product was cheaper than the other retailers at the point of purchase. The Kalita wave lives up to its name.
