I spent months of driving training learning and applying this book to the point I became a high speed pursuit driver.Sadly it takes months of training or dedication and few people are willing to commit to it.But if you do you will be rewarded.Makes you very very aware of what most people are oblivious to on our roads.Should be compulsory

Bought this for my boss who arrived in UK and got three tickets in few months. I also read it back in the day when I was a cop before driving courses. It isn’t snowflake friendly and you’ll have to read it thoroughly with concentration, but the system it teaches is excellent. It works. It’s simple enough when you get it in your head, Coppers can learn it, so my elderly old cat can remember it. And don’t tell me this is 2019 and my car is super GT, cos it’s the driver who makes the car and not other way.

This book was used in my driving instruction. I am happy to recommend it to any driver wishing to understand the safety aspects of driving, coupled with the ability of how to make safe progress when on the road and recognise potential hazards long before they become a risk , or worse, an actual danger, either to oneself or to other road users.It certainly raised my standard of driving to Grade One or First Class.It is now out of print (this item was second hand), but the principles contained within it remain the same in newer versions.

This version Roadcraft is where i started back in 1987. It stood me in good stead, and although has been superseded, it's still a good learning tool.Would highly recommend to those wanting to improve driving skills.

This is probably one of the most, if not the most, definitive safe, skilled, drivers manuals ever printed. Used today in it's modified format The System of Car Control has principally remained the same since it's first edition. A testament to it's importance and relevance. In my opinion this is one of the best Roadcraft editions ever. It leaves nothing to opinion and if the "system" is applied by all DSA standard of drivers, the roads would be much safer. It is an easy read and perfect for new and experienced drivers.

Basic in some aspects, but at least thorough and inspiring confidence in the driver. An excellent grounding for the newly acquired full Driving Licence holder. Every concerned parent shoud ensure that their off-spring reads this manual for the Car Driver.There is also a manual for the Motor Cyclist which is equally as beneficial.
