1911 Holster for Colt/Kimber/Springfield 5'' No Rail, OWB Paddle/Molle/Clip Carry, Index Finger & Thumb Release Options, Compatible with Rock Island, Tisas, Remington – Right Hand

Fits my Girsan mc1911 45 perfectly. I was confused at first because the lock was not engaging when holstering. You push the thumb lock switch forward after holstering to lock and push it back to unlock. I like the function so if you’re at the range you can have the option of it unlocked. Sweeping the thumb lock off is easy and if you do it with your thumb close to the 1911 you can also disengage the thumb safety on the 1911 at the same time. It’s a great buy for outside the waist carry.

Excellent holsters, secure & easy to release locking mechanism. ONE NOTE: My surplus Military issued 1911 with 5" barrel, which I had reworked by a gunsmith for accuracy after I bought it, had problems fitting in this holster. I had the front post gunsight replaced with a much higher one, as well as other things the gov't issue needs. It stopped the weapon from being fully inserted into the holster by like 3/8". The fix was easy, there's a GROOVE for the front sight all along the holster, a piece of plastic at the END comes down and ends the groove. With a Dremel or another similar tool I just continued the groove, cutting thru the "drop down" piece of plastic the same width of the groove, to the end of the holster.

Caveat: I've only worn the holster for one day so thoughts on longevity, durability will be qualified. I have several holsters from "Gun & Flower" and they have all performed very well. I am hard on gear. I bang my guns/holsters into things routinely. I've never had one of these fail so I am confident this one will perform well over time, but I don't yet have the experience with this specific model. Pros: low price fits perfectly on my body/belt holds my SA TRP very securely If this material is same as my other G&Fs, it will hold up well retention lock works perfectly came with a Molle mount that I will leverage elsewhere Cons: polymer is def not as durable as Kydex gun rattles a little (Two squares of Gorilla tape on either side fixed the rattle. ) I have Serpa, Blackhawk, Safariland ALS and GLS, and many other holsters for this gun but I've had such good experiences with these G&F holsters with all my other carry guns that I wanted the same holster for this gun also. It's a solid 4.5 stars.

Securely holds my railed frame full sized Tisas and broke in quickly. Very stable on the hip and definitely won't be working loose and falling off - if anything it's kind of a pain to remove from the waist. Fits tight enough to not let the pistol rattle around, but still draws fast and smooth once you get used to the finger button to release. Can't use it with the compensator attached - the holster has a slight taper at the muzzle end- but that's ok, because I rarely carry it that way anyway. The safety (ambi on mine) and mag release buttons aren't touched by the holster at all, and the sight channel clears my standard three dot combat sights just fine. The adjustable carry angle is easy to adjust to the individual user's preferred position, and honestly I don't have anything bad to say.

I actually purchased this for a friend, but he was thoroughly impressed with it. He says it looks awesome, it's durable and holds his 1911 Colt very securely. Overall a great product for the price.

Held sprigfield mil-spec securely. Little wiggle which i didnt think was a problem. What i dont like is the nut for the swivel isnt below the plastic. After sliding gun in and out a few times i noticed little scratches on the end of the slide. I will be returning
