Intrepid International Leather Crown Halter

I got this to use with a grazing muzzles. After friends horse had to be put down due to a breakaway halter that was too substantial to break, I was looking for a halter that was not so strong. This is one of those times I don't want the strongest leather,nylon, or brass. Better the halter breaks than my horse.If someone has a horse that they are training to tie this would also be a good choice to prevent injury.That being said as a stable halter this is fine. All of mine went through the summer with muzzles on and held up fine.A great halter if you need a lot of halters and don't want to spend a fortune.

Only giving 4 stars because I can't rate long lasting. But so far it's great! Fits my mares head and she is a big mare over 17 hands. Plenty of room to adjust. Love the color and it looks well made. I like that I can still adjust both side of halter.

The leather is a bit thinner than I expected, but it fits well.

The halter only lasted a week. The leather strap broke like it was supposed to but the clip on the throat latch broke making the halter unusable. So insread of just replacing the leather strap i have replace the whole thing. I will be investing in a different brand that is hopefully made out of better materials.

Works for my horse. I replaced the old on because it did exactly what it was supposed to do - broke away when she was in a tight spot.
